Camera You Bring?

So my old digital Canon is starting to die on me, it actually takes AA batteries, which I did not know was a rare thing but is, and it must have a short or something because even when fresh ones are put in the camera claims they are dying. So I bought a new Nikon Coolpix S3300 for what seems to be a steal at under 80. I considered something flashier but I need something easy, small and for Disney! Which means if it got damaged on a ride or something I would not be heartbroken since the price was nice. What kind of camera do you guys rock at Disney?

I love the Rx100 -- it has all the manual controls I want, but also does a great job with its programmed modes...but the photos are stunning. I don't have any way of linking to photos, or I'd post some of them here...

I have been using my Iphone..so unfancy, I know! For Christmas I got a Nikon D3100. I'll be alternating between the two cameras on my next trip! Mind you, I am NO photographer so I am curious as to whether we can tell a difference between the pictures taken between the two.

Yes, you will be able to see a significant difference, especially later in the evening....That being said, the iPhone takes remarkable photos, especially during the day when there is plenty of sun. I've been surprised at how good they are. Where you really see huge differences is when you try to print them. The iPhone photos will look all pixelated, while your D3100 photos will look clear and sharp. On your computer, or posted to Facebook, it makes no difference at all.

iPhone4 it's small, convenient and I can send pictures to the grandparents as soon as I take them

I guess unless you're a photographer and would like to take "professional pictures", I would go with just my phone. It's a Samsung SGIII and it's great!

I soooooo want to be able to do this! Seriously! As much as I love my big bulky camera, we upgraded our phones back in the fall and they have decent cameras on them (HTC OneX), but I'm finding it so hard to transition back to point & shoot style from the dslr.

This is my first real camera, so I'm excited to play with it at Disney! The iPhone night photos are awful, so I am looking forward to trying some night time photos with this camera!

Normally a Sony Cyber-Shot but DH got me a Canon T3i two years ago. I still have no idea how to use it! He prefers his iphone for pictures. We also buy the photopass CD before we leave.

Back in my film days I would have at least 3 different cameras and would choose which one to take in the parks depending on our plans for the day. I loved my Nikon FE2 with its crazy fast shutter.

Nowadays, it's pretty much the Nikon D50 every day.

I forgot to mention my little Kodak was a gift from my boys for Mother's Day right before our last trip! So the camera is a memory that records our memories!

I forgot which one I was reading about, but I think one of the new Canon powershots includes a feature where when you snap a picture it also takes a few frames of video at the same time and archives all of these frames for the day so when you check it out later it has a mini video that blends all the frames for the day and creates a little movie. It sounds like a great idea.

I have a d40 that I always bring with me. It almost always stays in the resort room when we are there. Fear of fogging up and having to carry around always makes me defer to my point and shoot.

I've brought the Nikon D60 for the past 4 years with no problems...I know it's a big DSLR but I've been to WDW so many times I'm more concerned about good memories on "film" than getting on Splash Mountain that second time...

I also always have the Toshiba Camileo on hand for underwater shots and the more wet occasions...

Don't forget that with Photopass and pp+ you can get away without a camera and the images are professional quality with some added extras.

I do utilize a sony alpha though too.

I mean...we've done the photoCD...i dunno what you're idea of professional is, but photopass photos are hit or miss...I've come out with some great photoCDs and other years have had hack photogs there what couldn't use the rule of thirds if their lives depended on it...looking at those CDs makes you wonder what they do in those tunnels...

Few years ago I had a nice canon powershot that I just loved. Not too far into my disney trip I dropped it and broke it. I ended up going to the local Walmart around midnight and bought a Nikon which I don't like. I would like to get a new camera this year something small and convenient. Any suggestions?

Same camera I have now. As has been stated the biggest difference is night shots, especially the fireworks. I had tried several cameras before and had never been able to get good pics of the castle and fireworks together.
The only downsides are the size and the need to have additional lenses for greater zoom.
That said the picture quality is so good you can crop and zoom pictures easily enough with basic editing software.

We take our Canon Rebel t4i with 2 lenses. The case stows nicely under the stroller, and we get amazing pictures out of it.

I have a Fuji that is water proof and shock proof it is a great little camera.. I always have it with me and sometimes I take my Nikon 5100..

I decided to cancel my order for the coolpix...anyone use a Canon Powershot SX260? I am torn between getting that or the new Canon Elph 330 HS that is coming out since that model does a little better in darker light and will have the wifi built in...they will be the same price but I have to wait another month for that Elph to come out.
