Im interested in getting a new video camera to start making ride videos and various other things, and i was just wondering what kind of video camera everyone has and what they would recommend. I dont have very much money so im looking for a cheaper starting camera, but that still has decent quality. Any response would be appreciated.

I purchased a Samsung SCD77 mini DV camcorder from Sam's Club to replace my aging Sony 8mm. It was about $500 at the time, but I think it is now priced lower. I had read a favorable review about it. The video picture quality seems very good, the features are nice, and it has a digital still feature built in but the picture quality of that is not too great compared to most digital still cameras. The only major complaint I have with the camera is that the software included is not compatible with Windows XP.
