My wife and I will be taking our first WDW vacation without our kids the first week of May. I'm having custom made disney rings for us made as I write this. I also had my wedding ring fixed. The band broke in half and and some diamond chips are missing. I would like to send them ahead of time and have them waiting for us for a special occasion. She has no idea about these plans. Any ideas?? We will staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Special dinner plans so far are California Grill, Marrakesh, Askerhus, Rainforrest Cafe. RoE is our favorite to watch together. Beavertails are our favorite snack. Do I try to bring the rings with me on the plane and keep them out of her sight? Sorry if this seems dumb, but I really want to make this special for her.

I don't see why you couldn't bring the rings on the plane with you. Just try to make sure she doesn't see them!

I wouldn't send them ahead, they may get lost. Carry them with you. Send her thru first & quietly explain that you have the rings & want them to be kept a secret. They can hand inspect your bag for you. Call the WDW Florist (407-827-3505) and have some flowers waiting in the room for her. Here is a link if you want to look at some of their stuff: http://www.ftdfloristsonline.com/waltdisneyworldflorist/privacy_security.html

The Wilderness Lodge can be a very romantic spot. There is so much to do. You don't mention Artist Point, it is a very nice place for a romantic dinner for two. Don't forget to get a portrait done (in her favorite park maybe) to commemorate this special trip.

Does your wife know how lucky she is?

When we were at WDW for our honeymoon, we were at MK for the evening. We watched the MSEP, but we were not lucky enough to get seats on any of the benches for the fireworks. It was kind of crowded as well.

So...I said lets watch the fireworks from the parking lot. :animwink:

We got on the ferry, came back to the TTC, then I "pulled" (we were holding hands) my DW to the extreme right, headed toward the Poly. We went down onto the beach, found and empty hammock, and snuggled with each other and watched the fireworks.

Ok, so no music, but it was romantic. :animwink:

Badger Brent--Could you have a chat with my husband...PLEASE ????

I agree with the previous poster. Have your guys' portrait done. My hubby and I had one done on our honeymoon and I loved it! Plus it's a wonderful reminder of a special time!

When I got engaged in WDW, my fiancee had brought the ring with him, and had been communicating with Coronado Springs hotel personnel about the surprise he had for me. From the beginning, when he made reservations, he told someone about his idea and he was connected to the right people, and given assistance on making it work. And they kept a good secret. So I would say definitely get in contact with someone from Disney to start the "ball rolling" and keep the rings with you. I would be too worried if I sent something like that ahead of me to Florida.

Have a great time!
