Calling all Fort Wilderness Lovers

Today I am sitting around my rv at my second favorite campground located about 35 minutes from my home. Of course FW is my #1 pick. What do you love most about FW?

I like being in the middle of the magic.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue
Carriage Rides with my sweetheart
And fishing

We love that we're in the middle of the Disney magic but far enough away to sit outside the motor home and really relax. We love the Disney sounds - the busses, the boat horn, the fireworks, the water pageant. We love the take-out fried chicken from the Trail's End. We love people watching while sitting on the porch at Trail's End. We love coming back to the motor home mid-day to rest and walk the dogs. We love feeling like we're at home and at Disney at the same time. Ahhhh....wish we were there now.

We stay at WL but love FW. We love the trail from one to the other... its a perfect morning run. Once I saw 5 deer at the same time.... They where not even scared... I felt like snow white! lol!
We also love the Trails End Restaurant. I believe the Buffet is the best for the price in WDW. So even though we do not stay on site we are still FW lovers!

The wildlife is awesome. I've seen rabbits, owls, bald eagles, squirrels, snakes, gators, and tons of deer. My wife and I walked upon some does feeding on a trail, we stood still and one came up and sniffed me. Must of smelled bad, they left.

Same here. We stay at the WL but always take the boat over to visit FW. Trails Ends has one of the best deals on WDW property and some of the best service we've ever had.

The feeling of home while on disney property. It is so relaxed and ususally relatively quiet. Laying in bed at night after a full day at the parks and hearing the ELP music(we were on the 100 loop). Riding around in a cart and just saying hello to the other campers. Taking the RV with all of your own stuff (linens, kitchen, etc.) it is almost like you have moved to WDW! Counting the days until Sept.
