we are on the dining plan....so the appetizer, entrees, dessert and gratuity are already taken care of....i'm taking full advantage of this while we're on the Disney property.

Every time I have eaten there, it has been excellent. It's been a while since I've been there since there are so many restaurants, so little time:lol: .

I like the Sushi there, but don't like to do 'sit down', rather catch an ultra early dinner in the lounge (they serve dinner items there) when few people are there (opens at 5, dinner served at 5:30).

Right up to the window, good sunset...

Jose (the bar fly).

I was just reading about the lounge. I would like to visit the Grill for a drink and maybe some dessert. I assume that is a possibility? Can I just walk up without a reservation? Is seating first come first serve? Any more info would be great! THANKS!

Heading for the great escape.
Last August as we were checking in, people in front were turned away as they had no more spaces that evening. I know we had to wait down stairs on the concourse, this may have been because there appeared to be some conference types in the grill bar area, all getting a little tired and emotional.

We have done this a couple of times. Just gone and sat in the lounge and had drinks and apps. Yes, it is first come first serve. We have done this on both of our last trips in September and had no problem getting a seat. Once I think we about 15 minutes for a small table to open up. You just have to tell the folks that you are just going to the bar, they will let you up.

I went for the first time last July. I thought the food was very good, but I think I would have had a better time if we had not tried to time our meal with the fireworks show. I think that experience was over-rated. I'd rather not have to leave my meal to push through a crowd of people on the balcony. Plus the people inside the restaurant were talking right through the fireworks music, so that I could barely hear it. Next time, I'd prefer to go during a more relaxed time of day, maybe just at sunset would be nice. But, like I said... the food was great!

We went while on our honeymoon back in October and I enjoyed it a lot....that is *after* the large family behind my husband left for the evening. I was so greatful they did...the drunk grandmother was laughing so hard at the antics of her granddaughter(s) I thought she was going to have a heartattack!

The food was wonderful! I had grilled tilefish with some type of spicy sausage and potatoes, it was sooo good! Also I highly suggest the Warn Vahlrona Chocolate cake. The server suggested it to me at the beginning of the meal because of the cooking time it takes....it was excellent! My husband was kinda "meh" toward the whole thing...he didn't care for the food that much. But he did enjoy the view and watching Wishes....and their coffee :D

I think its the best restaurant on property. Not only is the food fantastic-the wine list enormous and the placement perfect, the MK fireworks from the roof are AMAZING. Wishes is great from that vantage point.
