Cake Orders

Not going to dredge up the old cake thread, but for those of you traveling in the near future who would like a custom cake from a Disney bakery...I have info that can help.

The Grand Floridian Bakery is making cakes and they are delivering to other places. I just ordered cakes from the GF that will be delivered to Boardwalk for me (staying in a villa). The BW Bakery is not making cakes right now. You'll want to call the GF's in-room dining line at 407-824-2474 and select option 1, and then asked to be transferred to the bakery so you can order a cake. I have also heard of people having luck with YC/BC's bakery, but I think it's only servicing those resorts and I don't have any firsthand experience with it. I've heard mixed experiences on the Contemporary bakery operations, but they may also be a possibility. Either way, I wanted to share in case any of you wanted cakes for trips. I just ordered THREE (minis)

Of course, all of this is subject to change, but it's nice to see custom cakes being an option again for guests.

These were $45 a piece. Not exactly cheap, but it's less expensive than some of my other ideas.

Yes, I had gotten a list of furloughed and laid off CMs. I've ordered some other non-cake things through some of the people on the list. I went through the web and Facebook galleries of a number of the bakers on the list, but at the time, hadn't seen anyone doing cakes that had anything quite like what I wanted. I'd love to see your cake when you get it.

I'm happy to hear this! We're going in April for my mom's birthday and are wanting to order a cake. We're aiming for her birthday dinner at Cali Grill so we were hoping the Contemporary bakery will be an option. If not, I'm glad to know GF is!!

Can you still order a cake to be delivered to a restaurant? We want a birthday cake for Grandson's birthday.

I think in some cases, yes. I believe the GF is still delivering to GF and Poly restaurants that are open. Positive I saw someone post about a delivery to GFC. I know YC/BC's bakery is doing cakes, so they will probably deliver to YC/BC restaurants. Same is true for the Contemporary bakery and that resort's restaurants. The rest...well, I know BW and AKL bakeries are not up and running right now. I also haven't heard anything about Epcot.
