We are taking our twins to Disney World for the birthday next month. We'll be in one of the parks or somewhere on Disney property the day of their birthday. We would like to get them a cake or cupcakes to sing them Happy Birthday. Where can we get either or, or where is the best place to get them?

Where are you staying? We've had good experiences with ordering cakes from Boardwalk Bakery. They only require 3 days notice. You do have to pick the cake up yourself though. Also- once we ordered a cake from the Disney Cake Hotline. All of their cakes are custom made and they deliver right to your resort if you're staying onsite.

If you have a dining reservation, a birthday pin, and even mention you're celebrating a birthday then you should get a free "celebration" cupcake! Vanilla cupcake with mickey sprinkles. :)

Follow this link. You can arrange to have a cake delivered to most WDW restaurants. They're a little pricey. I know, something at Disney is expensive? Quelle surprise. But even just getting "I'm celebrating my birthday" pin when you check in* will probably get them a small celebratory cupcake or other treat like @Disney Stine wrote above.

*(whoever checks you in will probably even ask "is anyone having a special occasion this trip?" And whatever you reply - birthday, anniversary, honeymoon etc. - they'll give you a pin to note it that you can wear everywhere)

You might want to take a look at the cake talk thread as that will detail your options by location and provide the best phone numbers to use for each location. Beyond that, they don't usually do custom cupcakes. The one time I saw someone ask for a custom tea cup themed cupcake (GF bakery) they were quoted $250. A mini wedding cake or mini cake (varies by location), which usually serves about two, is the best bet if you don't have a lot of people, but they may push you towards a cake (6" or 8" depending on the bakery) if you have more elaborate design ideas.

I ordered a mini cake as a surprise for friends of mine who were celebrating. It was delivered to them after their meal at one of the restaurants. The size was perfect and it looked great. They wouldn't let me pay for it in advance though, so I had to give them a Disney gift card telling them they'd know when they were supposed to use it. Still, it was a great experience!
