According to Touringplans the only RV site and Campsite that are close to each other are 2100 (Cabin) and 1100 (Premium Campsite). Here is a map to show you the proximity. However, I don't know what Premium means. They do have a listing for Full Hookup site. Those are 1600-1900. Unless Premium also includes full RV hook-up, I would anticipate you are limited to 1600-1900 for RV.We are coming to the Cabins @ Fort Wilderness and have an RV Site and a Cabin reserved. Are we able to request sites so that our cabin and RV site will be close to each other. We don't want to be too far away from each other.
My Fort Wilderness insider tells me that, as we speak, the cabins are being removed from the 2100 loop and they are converting that loop back to premium campsites. Therefore, there are no longer an area where cabins and campsites adjoin. To help you understand the different types of sites, here's my definition: The least expensive sites are very small and will only fit a tent or popup. The next least expensive sites are the full hook-up sites. Those are 1600-1900. They are the largest sites in the campground but further away from any activities such as the Settlement. The next type of sites are the Preferred sites (100-300) They are close to the settlement but pretty tight for a large RV. The most expensive, and most plentiful, sites are the Premium sites. They are the 'renovated' sites that have large pads for parking but not as much 'real estate' as the full hookup sites. The sites have water, electric, cable, and, except for tent sites, sewage connections. The sites closest to the cabin area would be the full hookup sites 1600-1900, but there would be the main road between you. Hope this is helpful. And, yes, you can request sites but not guaranteed.According to Touringplans the only RV site and Campsite that are close to each other are 2100 (Cabin) and 1100 (Premium Campsite). We are at FW now and the 2100 loop is roped off and you can see where the foundations of the cabins were.
