I can't think of anywhere that has trackless vehicles going at any sort of good clip. They tend to be rather large, cumbersome vehicles.

It does look cute. Too bad they aren't allowed to move at a faster clip, and I wonder if they couldn't have just designed a 21st century version of bumper cars with the same storyline and theme. I appreciate that they incorporated choreography into what might otherwise be kind of a pointless spin around an open floor, but this experience strikes me as being too passive to do more than once or twice unless you have very small children your group. Maybe it'll be different in person.

With Mater's and Luigi's highly themed versions of what I might call traditional carnival experiences now permanent fixtures in Disney's roster of attractions at DCA is the company safe to demolish A Bug's Land without any major blowback from fans? I'd love to see something more substantial go in that space. Does anyone know if the Marvel expansion might encompass that area?

Although it hasn't been confirmed I think Tuck And Roll's days are numbered to make way for a path to Marvel Land. I think between Maters, Luigis, jumpin jellyfish , Tritons carrousel, toy story ?, Little Mermaid, Monsters Inc., Disney Junior, animation academy, Turtle Talk, the Frozen Sing Along and Redwood creek challenge Trail there is plenty for the really young ones to do. I think it's tough to be a bug is a great show and it would be the only part of that land I would be sad to see go if they ever bulldoze the whole land. But I think that area would be perfect for a POTC style people eating E ticket that DCA needs. So something like that along with the rumored Coaster in Marvel Land would be two solid additions for DCA.

The problem is, most of it is no-substance carnival type rides that aren't much fun for adults. Same can't be said across the way at DL where most of the rides aimed at kids can be appreciated by all-ages and have depth to them.

Right, which means we re not losing much if we lose A Bugs Land. Even just one POTC family style E ticket would be worth losing that whole land. And it could probably be done without losing any capacity. I'd rather have it be an extension of Hollywood land or a brand new land. As opposed to an expansion pad for Marvel land.

What you re bringing up is a whole different issue that I'm not sure will ever be addressed. I do agree with you though. DCA is really top heavy with E tickets and then a lot of off the shelf dressed up carnival rides. There isn't very much in the middle. When I convinced my uncle and his fam, who hadn't visited Disneyland in many years and never been to DCA, to join my wife and I for the day he asked me if the park hopper was worth it. I told him there were 6 things at DCA that were must sees. ( keep in mind I'm talking strictly rides , because when someone spends $600 for the day I'm pretty sure they don't want to people watch or "take in" the ambiance ). So he proceeded to shell out the $600 bucks for the family for the day. Yikes ... No wonder so many people buy APs.

Anyway, my point is, although they are 6 awesome things, the park could use more of the quality attractions or at least a few more dark rides and people eating family attractions.

I'd miss Francis' Lady Bug spin but I'd be ok if Bug's Land went away. On my trip last week I only passed through it going form Cars Land to the Tower of Terror.

I would like to brag that I have experienced every attraction at DLR, however with the exception of It's Tough to Be A Bug, I have never done any of the attractions in A Bug's Land. It's a nicely themed area, and pleasant to walk though, but without kids I just can't bring myself to do any of the attractions there, and I even spent an hour once waiting in line for Gadget's Go Coaster.

Between my wife and I am the bigger Disney fan / DLR fan / have the bigger case of OCD so I had to convince her to ride them with me. However, now that I rode them all once I have no reason to ride them again. As I have said before and will say again, Tuck n Roll is currently the WORST attraction at DLR. Just for that reason alone you have to ride it. I think as it stands now Disney Junior and all of the Frozen stuff are the only things I haven't done at DCA.

Oh just do them. They usually don't have long lines. It wouldn't take you very long.

Yeah, you're right. I don't get to DLR very often, so when I do go there's typically a decent list of new things that I don't want to miss. Because my visits are infrequent I typically spend top dollar on a Disney resort hotel, therefore I don't really care to spend time on things that I've done a million times in Anaheim or at other Disney parks, or attractions that aren't a big draw for me. It's very likely that I won't visit Disneyland before SW Land opens and at that point it sounds like A Bug's Land might not even be there.

What? You guys actually like Heimlich's Chew Chew Train? What that ride needs is a dark ride attached to it. It's over before it even starts. It can do without all the burping too. I prefer Tuck n' Roll over that train.
