Buzz Lightyear on-board photos

I think someone posted this on another post, but I will reiterate it. I think the reasoning for the on ride photo opportunity is to make it an option for families to have an onride picture, b/c they may not do any of the thrill rides that do these photos. I think this is the only ride that is not intense or scary for any child, so they can have a family picutre on the ride. Splash Mountain is probably the only attraction now that has a onride photo that most kids ride.

only a family of 2 or 3 could get a "family" picture though...
If you have a family of 4 or 5,6 etc...your on different "pods" so how do you choose what picture to buy??

Why not just take a picture of the picture? It is cheaper.

Comparing MIB to Buzz isn't exactly fair.

On the surface, they are similar rides.

However, Buzz Lightyear was designed as a replacement, to fit over an existing attraction. On the other hand, MiB is a completely new attraction built from the ground up. One is essentially an upgrade to a ride, while the other is an upgrate to a park.

When you consider that important factiod, I'd easily say that Buzz kills MiB. While MiB does innovate the ride genre slightly and it presents some imaginative concepts (the other car as aliens is a riot) it doesn't give the same bang for the buck (ride installation and size of ride) as Buzz. Since both rides offer the same re-ridability and the same basic entertainment value, Buzz wins because it produced the same result for much less effort.

Do both rides innovate the theme park market? Yes
Do both rides off an exceptionally high degree of re-ridability? You better believe it
Are both rides fun? Of course

Both rides are winners in my book. I'd easily wait for an hour to ride each of them.

I believe most everyone here understands that the rides are of different calibers.

However, I would never wait an hour for either, but that's simply a matter of preference.
