Buying P&P Party Tickets on AP Site

In the past I've been able to buy tickets on AP site and have them mailed. Now it's saying I have to call and pick up. When did this change and why?

I'm not sure about AP but, I bought mine on December 15th directly from waltdisneyworld.com and I received them in the mail Friday (December 21st). I am soooo excited, we are going on Feb. 2nd. Oh and I got my magical express luggage tags on Friday too.

I called and have to pick up with AP in hand. I guess they had people buying at AP discount but not going themselves.

Ya, I'm sure this is to ensure that people buying online with the AP discount actually has an AP ~ although just the fact that you need one to login and purchase them should be enough. I purchased MVMCP tickets online via the passholder website earlier this Fall and had to select the "will call" method as no other method would come up. However, when I picked them up, I never had to show my AP, only driver's license.

It's probably no different than front desk CM"s are suppose to ask for your AP to get the discounted room rates. In all my years, I've only been asked one time to show it at the resort.

Ironically, I might not be able to use the P&P tickets I have for January 21. Looks like my travel dates are going to have to change. Does anyone know if WDW lets you exchange them for different dates?

Unforunately, the P&P tickets are non-refunable or exchangeable. We had tickets for last Feb. and we had to change our vacation dates but, we were stuck with tickets that we couldn't use. I hated to see the tickets go to waste and luckily my sis lives in Fla., she couldn't use them but I gave them to a friend of hers. The friend loved the P&P party and the fact that the tickets were free made it even better for them.
