Is it worth the DVC if you have 4 kids and 2 adults we always go at the same time every year. Aug Sept ?? How many pints do u think we would need for a family of 6?? I was thinking 220-300??? 2 bedroom villa . What are the other discounts that u get being a DVC member ?

270ish is a good number. If you go to WDW in september every year you will be getting the best value of your points for a 2 bedroom, since it is the slow season. When buying resale consider the mait. fees at each resort. Buy into a resort that has lower mait. fees bc going in september you have a better chance reserving a room at more popular resorts at the start of the 7month window. On the other hand, all of the DVC resorts are nice!

DVC members get discounts on AP, food, tours, etc

I would say DVC is worth if
A. You love WDW and traveling
B. You pay without financing(or get a loan with a very low rate)
C. Want to save money(staying onsite) by paying todays moderates rates for tomorrows deluxe room vacations(future proofing room rates basically)

If you're considering resale, the other thing to consider (in case nobody's told you yet) is that, at a certain point, the deed to your resale reverts back to Disney (unlike traditional resale, which you own pretty much forever as long as you don't default on your maintenance fees or something like that). How long you have your deed depends on which resort. The newer the resort, the longer the deed lasts. Between the length of the deed AND the cost of maintenance, buying Saratoga Springs will probably, usually, be the best value, though it's location tends to make it one of the less-popular DVC resorts.
