A five day park hopper ticket seems excessive for Disneyland/DCA. I get the five nights and using Anaheim as your base camp, but the deal should include a 3 day park hopper and then help getting to the rest of SoCal offerings like the beach, Hollywood, shopping, San Diego Zoo, etc., etc.

LOL - I can not comment. It seems from what people say, Disneyland takes 2 to 3 days and DCA takes one full day. I would enjoy an extra 2 days in Disneyland though (if all the entertainment is playing)

WOW - if they extend this to August I can go!

I am going in August, part of my honeymoon. I have been holding off on booking because of the outrageous cost of staying on site. Since it is our honeymoon, onsite is a must. We want to stay at the Grand Californian so I was hoping for a deal like this. Now I am hoping it extends to August...

The Grand Californian is one of my favorite hotels in the world. That's a great choice for a honeymoon!:)

Let's face it though, all of us are Disney Geeks and would live there if we could.

But for the 99.97% of the population that aren't like us, five days at Disneyland/DCA would be about two days too many. I am very familiar with the travel patterns of SoCal tourists, and they have plenty of other things they want to see during their week here; Universal Studios, Hollywood, Knott's, Mountains, Beach, Desert, Palm Springs, San Diego, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, LA Museums, Shopping, etc., etc.

Disneyland does take a lot more time to see and do than Magic Kingdom Park does, and DCA has already grown into a longer day park than DHS or Animal Kingdom, and by 2012 would be on par with the amount of time people spend in Epcot.

But 5 full days spent bouncing between both parks? That just seems excessive for the vast majority of visitors.

I believe the difference between a 3-day and a 5-day ticket is only $25...
