Has Busch Gardens got a fastpass system or something similar. Haven't been in a few years (July 04) and was thinking of heading down to Tampa for a day. Last time we visited it rained most of the day and as a result the wait times were short

They do not offer any type of services like that. I have been there quite a few times and it was never really busy. Visit during a weekday and you should be fine.

For a short while I think during summer or a busy time they once had a FP style ticket for Rhino Rally haven't seen them do it in a long while so I doubt they are doing it anymore!!

they rarely offer quick queue (the name of the tickets they were used). if they do it would be rhino rally, and maybe shrikra... but i think they only did it for a short time before giving up on sheikra. (the queue system is to cramped to do it for sheikra even thought it has 2 stations)

the only pass they have are the re-admits which ae impossable to get because the attractions rarely break down in the summer, they wait for the fall when i go. lol

Actually they do have a first in line pass, but it is the Platinum pass which is good at all the Busch parks. Costs about the same as a year at a Disney park if I remember correctly. We have the Gold 2 park, 2 year passes and they were less than $200. Gives you free parking and discount on food along with a few other discounts. Unfortunately we have to wait in line for rides.

One good thing about BG, if it rains so hard that it interrupts your day because the coasters are down , you can get free tickets to come back another day. ( that is info at least from a year ago)
I thought that it was cool when it actually started raining hard, the PA shifted to playing songs like "Singing in the Rain" . Then when the storm actually got really heavy with lightning, they had a special song come on, warning about the danger and telling you to seek shelter right now. As the storm continued and people hung out wherever you could stay safe, they started announcing that you could go to a place and get return tickets. The brochures at that time had the info about rain and the return tickets written on them. When the storm finally ended everything was able to reopen and the lines were much shorter.

Right now the park is open longer hours and being there in the evening is a lot of fun. Enjoy......wish we could get over there in the near future.

What's a "FIRST IN LINE PASS," I have the platinum pass and the only riding perk that I know of is the re-ride policy with the platinum pass where you get to ride again in most of the major coasters and some other rides if you show them your platinum pass.I'll only use this if I'm alone or with someone else with a platinum pass, I'll exit the train and show the attendant the pass and look for an empty seat anywhere in the train since I would feel like a jerk to make the next people to ride in our row wait for another train.Platinum passholders also get special sections to see shows like in Sea World.

Weekdays aren't so safe anymore as the local schools are out for the summer and Busch Gardens is typically a place where many students spend their time.

I stand corrected. LOL I thought the people flashing their platinums were getting first in line, I guess they must have been riding again when they were put on rides in front of us the last times we were there.

Rhino Rally has a sign for Quick Queue, but I've never seen it used in all my visits. Other than the Platnium Pass benefits, Busch Gardens has no Fastpass-like system. During Howl-O-Scream, you can buy a booklet of Fastpass-like tickets and use them on the haunted houses and some of the rides, I believe.

The best bet to avoid crowds at Busch Gardens is to arrive at opening and ride the major rides before the crowds creep in later.
