Bus Use

Are the Disney buses for resort guests only? When I have been on them, no one checks to see if you are Disney guest or not.

The only time I've ever been asked to show ID was back on July 4th of last year. We were staying at Saratoga and had dinner reservations over at the Poly around fireworks time. The Poly was insane and we took a bus over from the MK because the monorail was packed. The driver just asked to see that we were staying on property because of the crowd levels there. He didn't care that we were staying at Saratoga, just wanted to see a room key. Others who didn't have a room key told him they were eating at the resort and he was cool with that as well.

No biggie, completely understand why he asked. If we were trying to cheat the system, oh well, we weren't.

I have had my resort id checked in times when the crowds were high, especially on the boats from Downtown Disney.

Here's a compromise so all the holier than thou fanbois here can go back into their righteous holes. These are the same people who NEVER exceed the speed limit, full stop at every stop sign, brush their teeth at least 3 times a day, leave the room to fart, always put the seat down, and never lie about charitable donations on their taxes. :animwink:

My next trip, I'm renting a car since the bus system/scooter taxi service is never on time and I can't remember the last time I got a seat and didn't have to stand. Since I will NOT be using the bus system for my 7 day length of stay, I hereby transfer my rights to you and your party as long as it does not exceed 3 people and your use does not exceed 7 days.

There! Problems solved and everybody is now happy. :ROFLOL:

:lol: but seriously, the difference here, is that I don't go on a message board and ask for validation to break those rules. Something about the "I know this is wrong, but can I do it anyway and will you guys tell me it's okay to do it?" mentality that rubs me the wrong way.
