Bus Service at the Yacht Club

What is bus service to and from the Yacht Club like?
Do the buses to and from the Yacht Club stop at all the Epcot resorts including Dolphin/Swan and Boardwalk?
Do they only stop at some of the Epcot resorts such as are they shared with the Beach Club?
Are there any dedicated buses?
Thank You for your responses.

We stayed at the Swan this summer, and the bus sharing was odd. Some days, we only shared with the Boardwalk and the Dolphin. Some days we shared also with the Beach Club and Yacht Club. There never seemed to be a consistant method.

The busses are crowded, and the service isn't perfect at the Epcot Resorts. However, you only need to use them for 2 parks. The benefit of walking (or taking the boat) to Epcot and DHS far outweighs the hassle of the bus service to the MK and AK.

We loved the Epcot Resort area so much, we may never stay anywhere else. You'll love it, too. Don't sweat the minor inconvenience of the bus service. Everything else makes up for it!

I am staying at the beach club for the time in March... in theory, if the two parks opened at the same time (epcot and MK) couldn't you just walk through epcot and hop on the monorail? I mean, its probably the same time but at least you have a nice walk through a park

Bus service to and from the Magic Kingdom usually has a bus just for Yacht and Beach (Swan, Dolphin, and Boardwalk share a bus as well). Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, and the Water Parks will have a shared bus route between the 5. In the morning rush though, you will often see a the bus fill up in the earlier stops so the driver will not stop at the others and will have dispatch send another bus to whatever would have been the next resort. The rides can be long and crowded though, so it's nice to only have to take them to a few places and you have alternatives for two of the parks.

Yes, you could do this, but it will probably take you longer than the bus. The walk from the international gateway to the front of Epcot will take you about 15 minutes. Then you have to get on the monorail to the TTC and then another monorail over to the MK. Even a crowded bus will take less time than that.

The "Epcot resorts" - Yacht and Beach Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin - have a nearby entrance to Epcot's "back door" called the International Gateway. It's situated in the World Showcase near the England pavilion. Epcot is HUGE. So to go from an Epcot resort to the MK by monorail would necessitate a long walk from that "back door," through Future World, to the main entrance where the monorail is. And even then, as was said, that monorail goes to the Transportation and Ticket Center, which is near the Polynesian resort and across the lake from the MK. So you'd then need to hop one of the other monorails (either the one that goes direct to MK, or the one that makes "the local stops" to the other MK monorail resorts) to get to the MK.

I knew about the backside location, I'm 25... that walk wouldnt kill me. I was under the impression it was a straight shot on the monorail though, doof :shrug:

Thanks for clarifying

It's a nice trip if you have time and are looking to ride the monorail....but it will certainly take you longer than just taking the bus.

I've done the walk myself, the opposite way. We took the monorail from MK to TTC to Epcot one day, and while en route to Epcot, we decided "you know what? Beaches and Cream for lunch first." It's certainly doable for most people, I wasn't trying to say "don't do it." But if time is of the essence, it's certainly not the fastest route.

We stayed at the Yacht Club in July. If we had the money to do so, this would be the only resort we ever stay at. We loved it.

The bus service was by and large great. We found that during off-peak hours the busses stopped at the Beach Club, then the Boardwalk, then the swan and dolphin (maybe not in that order, I can't remember). The extra stops on the bus did not seem to take an inordinate amount of time. During busier times we only shared a bus with the Beach Club.

We stayed at the Yacht Club in August. We were supposed to stay for 13 nights, but switched to the Polynesian after 4. The bus service was pretty much unacceptable to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and DTD. For $350 a night, you should not be sharing a bus with 4 other resorts. Inexcusable on Disney's part.

Bus service wasn't the only reason we switched. We just didn't care for the resort. Room wasn't nearly as big as the Poly's rooms, which with 5 people is a huge thing. The service was below that of any of the other Deluxe Disney Resorts we've stayed at. I was shocked and very surprised.

My only complaint about the Epcot Resort is the bus sharing. I agree, as one of the most expensive resorts area to stay at, the bus should be better.

I would also say, walking through Epcot and riding to the Monorail can be faster than waiting for the bus. Also less painful than being forced to stand in a crowded bus. We just did this a few weeks ago. We made it from our room at the Boardwalk in about 45 minutes. Are room was pretty hidden at the Boardwalk.

You can stand waiting for a bus for over 20 minutes alone. would say you are in more control buy walking and riding the monorail.
