Bus breakdowns

Hey all,
Just sharing our current predicament. Our bus broke down exiting Animal Kingdom. Been on the bus for 30 minutes. About 20 (I don’t really know - I can’t see the end of the line and people were saying different numbers) buses in line behind us.

Update (10:16p)
They moved the bus out of the way so other buses could move by. They took us off the bus and had us stand on the side of the road, on the edge of the woods, for about 5 minutes. Pretty sketchy, but the CMs are being great. Guests are staying positive, but keep talking about snakes and alligators.

They told us that this is very rare, so thought I’d share the story :)

Isn't that a safety concern for guests? I know Disney is probably immune from such lawsuits but wouldn't it be safer for all guests to simply stay on the bus until a new one arrives?
If it isn't running there is no AC and newer buses do not have a way of opening window sufficiently to catch a breeze. Standing outside, near the trees was probably to have them in the open in possible shade. Safety concern dictates to get them off the bus if a safe place is possible. We also don't know if what happened to the bus might be a fire hazard as well.

Of all the crap I hear at Disney that is "for my safety", this is kind of surprising.
So do you suggest that they suspend them from the trees with hooks. If there are enough mankind the animals stay completely away. In many ways they are smarter then people. I'd stay away from mankind if I could.

Keeping the guests on the bus with no A/C is the perfect primer for getting guests ready for the new Disney Skyliner!

I almost said that, but actually I was amused by that reaction to the Gondola's and thought, how could people not see the difference. They complain about not being able to get off the gondola in the heat, but, don't seem to recognize that same issue with the Monorail and given credit to the fact that the buses do allow people to get off and out in the open air. They should have been handing out gold stars for that ability alone.

At 10:12pm, everything is shaded....
Sorry, I didn't notice the time. Having a lot of experience with buses, I'd say that they were asked to leave the bus for a very good reason that we don't have a clue about. What I said about animals staying away from humanity still applies. I know I would rather be standing outside on a warm night, then sit in the dark in a crowded bus, hot bus. I didn't even know that Animal Kingdom stayed open that late. Is this new?

Just to clarify, we only waited outside the bus for a very short time. I’m not sure why we waited, but there was one scooter on board which required special attention.
