Bummed about the discontinuation of Disney Vacation Account

Now that you mention it I do recall hearing that. I wonder if because I buy my park tickets on a military base but buy everything else thru Disney if I’m able to do that.

I can see why people were annoyed that this program went away (yes, I realize this ended last year). But my first thought was like a couple of other PP mentioned doing, open another bank account and make deposit there! It's the same thing without giving the interest to Disney! Not sure why people were saying they wouldn't be able to go on trips without this DVA?? I really liked the PP's idea of buying a resell DVC and make payments to that instead of putting it in the account (argh, wish I could convince DH to do this)!

i didnt know this even existed... and we would of totally used it. Now what we do, is every time we get paid and do groceries, we buy a 25 or 50 dollar gift card to disney. This round its just spending money, but we could fund a trip that way. Its win win for us, as Kroger usually runs from 2x to 4x times the fuel points on gift cards, and if i do that, im less likely to spend it ha!

Oh we do! My daughter is an associate there roo so she always tells us all the good deals!
