Build-A-Bear Workshop Opens in the Downtown Disney District

The Downtown Disney District welcomed its newest shop, the Build-A-Bear Workshop, on Friday, November 16. Build-A-Bear Workshop is a unique children's entertainment retail store that sells make-it-yourself bears and other selected plush animals. Half craft, half toy, Build-A-Bear Workshop mixes personalization and interactivity into a unique shopping experience.

Must Be Popular

This new store must be popular. I just returned from DLR and just about every other kids was carry a white box that looked like a house that comes from that store. Didn't go in to check it out but looked pretty cool. Have a Disney Day!!

I don't know about all of you out there, but I think this was a great idea. Lets see, not only does the company get out of paying assembly costs (you BUILD the bear - remember?) but they even charge a premium to do it! and of course with this kind of personalization you can buy all kinds of accessories and outfits for your bear! Sorry if this sounds too cynical, it is a neat experience for the wee ones (I live 'cross the street from one) I just think it's funny. As for the location of the store in question, I believe it is in Downtown Disney - Anaheim? I think

Yes In Downtown Disney

It is located in Downtown Disney I believe it is close to the Department 57 Christmas Store. Boy is that Dep 57 store neat. I could have gone nuts buying Christmas stuff I really had to restrain myself. Plus since I flew down from Seattle I was worried the airline would break everything. Have a Disney Day!!:sohappy:

That's what I get for reading these forums using "view new posts" mode. I never even noticed that this was in the Disneyland sub-catagory.

No wonder the cast members at Downtown Disney Florida were so confused when I kept asking where the new store was...:hammer:

Does anyone know if a 'build-a-bear workshop' ever opened in Downtown disney in Florida? We have been to the one in Disneyland, but we are going to Florida tomorrow and wondered if they ever got one there? I know that they have one in the 'Florida Mall', but my kids were hoping they would have one at the park. Any comments?
