I know there are quite a few buffalo posters out there on the boards and I just wanted to make sure everyone is doing well! Stay safe and off the roads (as if you could even get on them if you wanted to).

Hope this didn't mess up anyone's Disney plans!!! If it has hopefully you can get in the air or on the road soon. My sister and her family are suppose to leave for Disneyland tomorrow and I don't think it's going to happen :(.

The lake effect snow machine in NY is amazing. Six feet of snow in areas around Buffalo with more to come. Stay safe everyone stuck in this right now.

I remember back in mid 90's where there was 9 feet of snow dropped over about 4 days of non-stop snow in Redfield, NY which is just South of Watertown, NY. A few of us decided to go snowmobiling there the weekend following the storm and it was insane. That night the temps also dropped to -49 degrees F. Not really sure why I live in upstate NY? o_O

Upstate NYer here too. Maybe that's why we love Disney so much? I don't even mind going to Disney in August...just get me outta here!

@Brian & Jill we are also in West Seneca! It's been crazy, pretty much just shoveling in shifts for the past four days. My body is ruined haha. I hope your family is safe, our main concern now is the roof with rain and the warm up coming today.

I am heading down to their house in a bit to bring some supplies such as 2 new shovels and a new sump pump(just in case theirs quits). My brother in law was up on the roof clearing snow off of it yesterday and he got about 50-75% of it off. Let me know if you guys need anything. I will check back in a few minutes.

Thanks so much! A group of my husbands friends from the north towns are here now helping with the roof and clearing snow. Just finished up some lemon chicken stew and I'm headed for a nap! Haha

No problem.....that's why we are called the "city of good neighbors". The lemon chicken stew sounds good. Hope you and your family stay safe through all of this. My wife could not believe all of the snow. I was out in that storm on Tuesday and Thursday so I know how bad it was.
