Just returned from our stay and well, the resort was very nice and the staff went out of their way to take care of things BUT this is NOT a handicapped friendly resort. We booked an island suite and checked in only to discover that there was no parking near the suite building but in a very small area across a long bridge. Of course there were no spaces there so we had to park in the main lot, then couldn't get toi the main part of the building from the entrance on the lower level without using the escalator but we couldn't do that because we had a wheelchair. The story goes on with the serious lack of accessibility. We finally got to our room after the manager came and walked us there only to discover that the room was not what was advertised. No 1/2 bath in the sitting portion, only a full size sofabed instead of queen. Nothing that would work for us so I got the manager on the phone and they moved us to two adjoining rooms in the main building but they weren't handicapped accessible either. The hallways are too narrow, the thresholds between sections require turning the wheelchair to go over backwards, etc. Just a bad experience from a handicapped standpoint.
I would stay there again only if my DM wasn't with us. The beds were extremely comfortable.
