I did too, but I wonder if anyone complained about the SAME RIDE being in 2 WDW parks at the same time, you know, like WDW fans love to bash Universal for doing with Spider-man and Transformers... :)
And where is Body Wars now? lol

I rode Transformers in USH and found it to be a poor man's Spiderman. Same basic storyline but no physical sets, no music, no laughs. It reminded me of watching a kid play a hi-tech video game. All style, no substance.

People can complain about Transformers all they want, but this is the fact of the matter: 16-18 months ago it wasn't coming to Florida. Then Comcast decided to throw a ton of money to build an E-ticket in the swamp in an amount of time unheard of in the modern times.

This was a ride that wasn't supposed to be in Florida, and less than a year later people were riding it in USF. It's nothing more than an appetizer for the main course, and it's a pretty damn good one at that.

I'll take that kind of initiative and passion for the parks from Comcast over a Fantasyland expansion that still hasn't opened and an Avatar announcement that's two years old and no real work other than WDI sitting around photoshopping themselves into movie screenshots.

Comcast is spending uncontrollably, and not seeing great results outside of Potter Phase 1. I expect Potter Phase 2 to do well, but I don't it reaching Potter 1 levels.

Ummmm...no. This is patently false. Despicable Me, Transformers, and Simpsons have all increased per guest spending by a good deal.
So has New FantasyLand(not to mention increased MK attendance). I also think Agent P, Marvel, and Star Wars have increased guest spending in Disney.

Why does everyone hate body wars? I never got that

I'll chime in with the Body Wars' haters. I'm usually fine with motion simulators, but, they got carried away with a particular portion of Body Wars. There was a repetitive forward and back motion that went on waaay too long when your 'capsule' became trapped near the heart. The blood surging in and out was just plain nauseating. Star Tours is much more inventive. There's just so much that you can do trapped in someone's blood stream.

Good times.

Agreed. Body Wars is the only simulator to ever make me nearly vomit.

Lol I guess I'm just tough :p No ride has ever made me puke so I guess I'm missing that. I do miss body wars and its old Star trek 80s movie feel to it. Then again It was built the year after I was born and I started going to disney the year I was born so I kinda grew up with it. I used to love the quietness of the queue line and the soft colors and deco of that entire pavillion. It had a sort of elegant natural-biological mystery to it. I used to call the mobiles hanging from the ceiling the "building blocks of life".

Anywho, The only time I've been sick at a theme park is when six flags had a company that was giving out free samples of this new ice tea and I drank it on the way out cuz I was thirsty and by the time I got off the tram/bus and sat in my car I was just so nauseous I could barely stand the two hour and 45 min drive home. YUCK! Wish I remembered the product name so I can avoid it.

New Fantasyland has slightly. The other 3 haven't. There is no Marvel and no new Star Wars in WDW. So that's kind of ridiculous to mention.

heck...how many dumbo spinners are there in wdw :)
Too many LOL... :)

Just continues to show WDW fans are hypocrites... Universal lacks imagination and creativity and were lazy because Spider-man and Transformers are similar, but WDW is magical and WDI is oh so creative because they did Astro Orbiter, Magic Carpets, cloned Dumbo and built Triceratop Spin, and built Body Wars and Star Tours using the same vehicle and technology (screens in a 1980 simulator)... Hypocrites I tell ya!!!!

Why does it matter where it is now? It was open and running at the SAME EXACT TIME as Star Tours... Did you cry that Body Wars and Star Tours were the same exact ride like you do with Transformers/Spider-man? Point being, it is okay for WDW to do it, but Universal does it and the WDW fans laugh and mock Universal.. Fact is Transformers and Spider-man (Potter as well) trump a lot that Disney has opened in WDW lately (last 10-15 years) and WDW fans are butt hurt about it... And they whine like school girls....

And as for all style, no substance.. talking about the new area of Fantasyland? Cause THAT is all style, no substance...

Star Tours 2.0, Star Wars weekends, Star Wars merchandise in Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney=huge money. While their may be no Marvel attractions at WDW, the merchandise is everywhere(and very popular). Agent P is a fun attractions in Epcot, and Agent P is a huge seller for the parks.

No, jacking up the prices has increased guest spending, and possibly the all style, no substance Fantasyland addition increased MK's guest spending a little... But Agent P? Seriosuly? No Marvel, so that is out.. And Star Wars has been sold on WDW property since the 80's... Maybe when and if the new Star Wars area finally gets opened in DHS, and DHS guest spending increases, you can say with a straight face Star Wars increased spending... Otherwise, these three have NOT increased spending... As for DHS, why is it the worst park in WDW when it comes for guest spending? If Star Wars stuff was such a huge seller, wouldn't DHS be raking in more money than it is?
