I just watched the first Brother Bear for the first time today and I loved it. It even made me a little misty which took me by suprise. Has anyone seen the second one? Will it ruin the first one for me?

I saw brother bear 2...its ok...the first is way better though...not suprising...just in case anyone was wondering

Brother Bear is my one of my favorite disney movie IMHO, and believe me I have seen almost all of the disney movies. BB is also one of Disney's fans least talked about movies and one of the most dissapointing flops. From what I heard BB 2 is on oof disney's worst direct-to-video sequels (and that's saying something). I would love to see BB 2, but i am scared to death it will ruin one of my favorite movies.......Can anyone give me a peace of mind about Brother Bear 2?

The plot for Cinderella III actually looks interesting. They could possibly pull something good off.
I have been dissappointed in most of Disney's sequals. Although Lion King 1 1/2 was pretty good.

I hate a lot of Disney sequels such as The Lion King 2 and I hate the idea of most of them now, so haven't watched them, eg Little Mermaid 2, Lady and the Tramp 2 etc etc. These are what I call Lazy Disney films.
That said I much prefer Toy Story 2 to the first and The Lion King 3 was a pretty good film in my opinion.....

there are a few exceptions to the video sequel genre. I feel that Bambi II (which i wished they kept the working title of bambi and the great prince) Lion King 2, Lion King 1 1/2 ( 3 for you uk folks) and Lilo and Stitch 2, all were very good sequels. They stayed very close to the original vision.

Until Lion King 1.5 / 3, the direct to video cheapquels have been pretty awful. They best they had raised to were "nothing special".
What recently surprised me was Tarzan 2. I found it in a bargain bucket at Woolworths and thought I'd give it a go.
It was great. Well written characters and comedy, and whilst the smaller budget showed in some of the production, it was still well animated and thoroughly enjoyable.
