Bringing technology in the Parks

I took my i-pad on our recent trip to Disney. I kept it in the room to check email etc. Stayed at The WL and the wifi was very spotty. We stayed in room 6069....just above the lobby and there was no wifi at all....very frustrating. I had to go to the lobby for a good signal. I did see some people use their i-Pads in the park and I wondered why they wanted the inconvenience. As small as they are for reading/surfing the web etc, they are very awkward to use as a camera. They are also very distracting for the user....difficulty walking and navigating around crowds. I thought is was downright dangerous. I could barely avoid the strollers and scooters and I don't carry anything. I saw many people trying to use their i-Phones while walking....also dangerous. They stop dead in front of you in order to maintain a signal and concentrate on what they are doing. Take my advise and use your smartphone or buy a small camera for pictures. You are on vacations and when I am in Disney, I want to leave everything behind......Have a Magical Trip!:cat:

Screw the camera, I work online and typing on a Galaxy S3 sucks, the iPad is not much better but my 1st gen ipad gets the customers their answers while I am in the parks. The wiFi leaves a lot to be desired, if TDO wants to be world class they need to take a signifigant portion of that 2B for nextgen and put it into the bandwith. It is slow, spotty and sometimes not available. After two years they should have it bug free by now.

I will continue carrying an iPad in the park but you do not need to worry about me holding it up in front of you (no camera), I am over in the corner trying to make a buck so I can stay in the park.
Edit for spelling
