I don't know if this is truly defunct, or just the victim of supply/distribution problems. But we just returned from WDW a couple of days ago, and the one thing I couldn't find that I ALWAYS picked up on each previous trip was the large, pictorial souvenir coffee table book about the resort. I know that in this day and age I can find any pictures I want online, but I really loved these books. What makes it more confusing to me is I saw this year's edition advertised on some of the Disney busses, special for the 50th anniversary.

It seems like ever since Wishes went away, he's rather hard to come by.....which I agree should not be the case haha!
Oh... Jiminy items have been hard to find well before Wishes left. Every trip we search for anything Jiminy and our hunts all over property for years come up with maybe one or two finds, maybe a pin or some other small thing. Being so popular, there should be so much more. I go on e-bay and because of the popularity of the character, theres pages of things selling.

Vinylmations. Granted, they pumped so many of those out so fast that they ran out of things to make into Vinylmations.

And now, they've switched over to Funko Pops.
I collected quite a few of them and hadnt finished when they were discontinued. Some of the designs were kind of meh though. I really liked the large sized ones.

I'd like to walk around EPCOT Center and see every kid wearing these again.

Only allowed if they make an adult version designed for large head - not for me, for a friend...

For me, it'd be the Park Starz line of collectibles. They were so cute and gave some park exclusive characters some spotlight, that they didn't have otherwise.
Mine requires a store being re-opened. I think not having the Main Street Magic Shop is a huge miss. I remember every single trick I got from that place. Imagine all of the magic light bulbs they'd sell?

They stopped doing those a while ago unfortunately, even before the pandemic. They had that one large table book for the 50th but most got it on amazon and the parks hardly had them at all, it wasn't really park merch like Let the Memories Begin book and others were. There hasn't been a specific park book like that in years. such a shame. Wendy Lefkon use to be the editor on most of those I dont even know shes still with Disney Press or not. Remember the writers stop? those were the disneydays!

Pal Mickey, but update him too!
i was just thinking about this. wasn’t a bad souvenir. i got a kick on how it shivered in fright while walking past the haunted mansion. some of its jokes were corny as anything but they made me laugh.

Antenna toppers, I have a truck that has an antenna and would put one on, and usually it would blow off or disappear after a few months but they were fun.

Some of the designs were kind of meh though.

That’s why I think they fell in popularity.

As soon as they caught on, Disney started shooting them out like there was no tomorrow and scraping the bottom of the barrel when it came to new designs.
