Were planning on having breakfast in epcot one day in one of the worldshowcase restaurants and i have a couple of questions....

1. what time do the restaurants open for breakfast (eg do they open earlier than the worldshowcase?)
2. has anyone done this and what is it like?

thanks for your help!:king:

As it was mentioned, the only place in World Showcase that serves breakfast is in Norway. Since it is a Princess Breakfast it books very fast and if you are interested you need to have priority seating and get it a while before your trip.

I thought the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Akershus in Norway was a nice Character Breakfast. It's more sedate and low key since it's the Princesses that attend. It tends to get mixed reviews.

Here is a link with more info about it.

You can also walk through the International Gateway, between France and England and eat breakfast at one of the Epcot resort restaurants.
Spoodles on the Boardwalk is nice, as well as the Yacht Club Galley at the Y/C. There is a nice Character Breakfast buffet at Cape May in the Beach Club.

The Electric Umbrella is the only place for breakfast. I look forward to it every year. Breakfast bagel sitting out side watching cast members on Segways and listening to the Innoventions Plaza music loop. Doesn't get any better than that.

BTW, character dining at EPCOT? Walt would definately not liked that. He didn't even want character merchandise there. Akershus used to be one of the best dining experiences at EPCOT and it's now full of 5 year olds. IMO, character dining is for the Magic Kingdom.

If you don't mind a character breakfast CLOSE to Epcot, but not necessary in it, I would strongly recommend the breakfast at Disney's Beach Club resort instead. I would say that is considerably better than the character breakfast at Arkeshus. You get Minnie, Goofy, Chip N' Dale et al. dressed in beach attire and having fun. Plus, the food is good.

After that, you can walk off your breakfast with a short, leisurely stroll to Epcot. What could be better?

Our reservation was at 8am as well. We ate there last May and enjoyed it. The food was pretty good.

One of the main reasons of having breakfast in epcot was to be their early when the park opens to, but i love the idea of going to the beach club! The yaht and beach club hotels are among my favourites love beaches and cream, thanks for all the help, bit concerned about loads of five year olds running around me first thing in the morning hehe but to be honest its always fun watching the kids and the big kids (me) with the characters! :king:

???????
Walt passed away before the Magic Kingdom was built, and that was years before Epcot (the theme park) was designed.

We did Breakfast with Cinderella at the castle last year. I have all daughters so seeing the princesses was something they still talk about. I didn't know that there was another princess breakfast, but very glad to hear it!! Which princesses are at the breakfast in Norway? At the castle there was Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Snow White, and Mary Poppins. Just wondering if there are some different one there. Maybe Jasmine or Ariel?

And btw, when we had breakfast at the castle with the princesses there were not 5 year olds running all around. It was actually very nice and somewhat quiet. There were several tables that had no little kids at all! The table next to us had a mother and her late-teens, early-twenties daughters.

Hey that sounds great! not that i mind kids was their two years ago with my nephew and neice and i have never had so much fun in all my life, my nephew was in the flying fish cafe with us and he was being a bit troublesome and he started taking pics of eveyone around the resteraunt, we all tried to keep him at the table but he loved the disney cast members so much he kept trying to run after them taking pics, thwe thought they would go nuts but they actually picked him and showed him round the resturant and all the fun little things and helped him take pics it was sooo much fun! anyhow a bit off topic but i love the kids just not first thing in the morning hehe!:king:
