Newbie here. We booked our trip in June; I did get dinner reservations (including BOG and one breakfast at CRT) however I never did anything for breakfast. This is the first visit for my husband and I since we were kids, and the first visit for our 5 year old daughter. We will be in the parks for 7 nights/6 days.

I guess I didn't fully understand my dining plan (Dining Plan = 1 T-S Meal, 1 Q-S Meal, 1 Snack); still don't.

I'm hoping we will be able to eat our Quick Service as a breakfast in the morning at Pop Century. I have snacks for our time in the parks; then be poolside @2-3 in the afternoon and have our "official" snack.

Is that reasonable? What do you think of the restaurants at Pop Century?

Also....this is HUGE - can we get iced coffee there in the morning?

Don't know 100% about iced coffee at the resort (I'm thinking no) but you can use your QS at the food court. The breakfasts are usually good.

I've made my own iced coffee in the morning. Completely fill your resort mug with ice. Pour the hot coffee over it. The ice will almost completely melt, but the coffee will be cold (you can add more ice if needed). Then add cream (I always ask for milk) and sugar if you need it. It isn't high end, but you can get your coffee fix without the heat.

You can also get (at least last year we could) proper iced coffee and iced mocha from the food court either with your QS meal or as a snack point (just not in your refillable mug).

I've never stayed at pop century, but you might find that you have a more varied snack selection in the parks. Consider picking something up to bring back with you. For example, from EPCOT get a pastry from the bakery in France or the Caramel store in Germany -Mmmm! (I have a bit of a sweet tooth:hungry:)

Also, unless you like to have a big breakfast, I would recommend that you use your "snack" for breakfast (e.g. a muffin, oatmeal, fruit cup) and have a QS lunch in the parks. Breakfast time tends to be really crowded at the resort, so we just grab something quick.
- Sorry! That's really long, but I hope it helps.

Okay, its me again. I just reread your post and I thought I should add...

If this is what works for your family, you can absolutely have breakfast at the resort.
The food court has scrambled eggs, breakfast burritos, omelets, French toast, pancakes and more. All of these meals come with a drink which could be iced coffee if you wish.
What do you think of the restaurants at Pop Century?
There is only one restaurant at Pop Century. It is called Everything POP and is basically a large cafeteria. You can see photos and the menu on the Disney website.

Let me know if you have any questions, we leave in 6 days and I need something to help pass the time.
Have a magical trip.

I've stayed at POP quite a few times...and I do have to say this, be careful of the food court in the mornings!!! The food court can get super CRAZY busy and packed depending on the time of year. Our last trip was in November of last year and one morning it took us almost an hour to finally get our food and find a spot to eat. Almost every morning around 7:30-9 the food court was pure chaos! After dealing with the craziness for the first 2 days of our trip, we gave up getting breakfast in the resort.

I suggest if you are early risers and are planning to hit the parks at opening to wait to have breakfast there. Like the PP mentioned you can use your snack points to get items like muffins, croissants, and bagels for breakfast, but if you are big breakfast people then you can also find a few spots that will have bigger breakfast options in each park.

I personally do NOT like the coffee in the resorts...but they did sell Illy iced coffees that are pre-made which did hit the spot for me. But another suggestion...days that you are going to MK and Epcot...go to Starbucks! For one snack credit you can get ANY coffee ANY size!

Hope this helps!!

If you are early risers you will be fine in the food court at Pop. But if you plan on going during peak breakfast time 7:30 - 9 watch out it will be crazy. We are already at the parks by 7:30 waiting for EMH mornings. When are you going? Do you have your other TS meals already booked? We like to grab either a) an early breakfast at Crystal Palace...8 AM on a NON- EMH hour morning. I like walking down Main St. with out a mob and take photos with no one in the back ground. OR b). book a late breakfast at Crystal Palace after hitting morning EMH hard at MK. Then doing breakfast late and that will hold us until we use a snack credit for a snack and then a QS dinner.

You will have a small fridge in your room so you might want to keep some things in your room for breakfast.

The food court at Pop is good, but I suggest you either use snack credits or pay out of pocket for breakfast as it is pretty cheap and then save your QS credit for lunch in the parks. There are some great QS places to eat lunch in the parks, and it's nice to take a short break to eat. A QS lunch will cost more out of pocket than breakfast in the food court. Then use your TS credit for a late dinner. I strongly suggest that if you already paid for the meal plan that you book the balance of your TS meals in advance. There are a lot of great places, but if you don't make reservations, you will likely be closed out, at least during peak times, at the most popular places. It's great that you got BOG and CRT, but I'd make a few more. We like to reserve a character breakfast as a TS credit for our final morning at WDW before flying home.

We avoided the crowds at the Pop food court by arriving very early and getting to the parks before rope drop each day. DH made iced coffee by pouring hot coffee over ice each day.

Oh, and the Pop food court is known for their tie dye cheesecake (but not at breakfast).
