Breakfast at Ohana - Quick Question

Hi all, we are trying to decide what to do with our TS credits on a day while we are in MK. This will be during the Crystal Palace downtime unfortunately () so that is out of the question. We were initially looking at the Character Breakfast at Ohana, but DW read somewhere that it was "family style dining" and is thinking that it is like Biergarten where you sit with others outside your party. While I can't find any information one way or the other, I have seen pictures with what appears to be smaller (4 seat) tables, so I am thinking maybe she read something wrong.

I am hoping that she did, as our dining options that day otherwise don't present anything too compelling in my opinion.

We've done the breakfast at 'Ohana several times, most recently Christmas morning '09. You do not share your table with other diners. By "family style", they are referring to the servers bringing your food to your table rather than going up to a buffet. So you'll be brought a platter of fruit, bread, then a skillet w/ eggs, Mickey waffles, bacon/sausage, biscuits, etc. But it is just for your party; no sharing necessary! HTH. Oh, the breakfast is great, btw. One of our favorites.

Oh that's good to hear. The whole seating thing doesn't bother me much and we have never had a bad experience because of it, however DW isn't fond of it and I am already "dragging" her to Biergarten and I don't think she will approve of both, if that was the case. Thanks!

O'Hana is one of our favorite character breakfast locations. The family style mean they bring the food to your table for your family to share. You don't have to share a table with strangers. Even though the food is brought to you, it is still all you care to eat.

Loved this breakfast buffet. Food is great as is service and the character experience is much better than Chef Mickey's not as rushed, you feel like they are taking their time. And you get plenty to eat with the family style we were stuffed!

The breakfast at Kona Cafe next door is a lot yummier. And 'Ohana is way way way better for dinner.

Breakfast at Ohana is brilliant, great food, amazing juice, great service and the characters are brilliant!!

At one stage pluto was rolling around and stitch started scratching his tummy then pluto gave him a big hug :ROFLOL:

'Ohana is one of my favorite character breakfasts! You do not sit at a table with other guests, just your party... When they refer to family style, they simply mean that the services bring you out a HUGE skillet of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, potatos and breads for your party to share. It is delish!!! Definitely recommend! We will be there on our December trip, that's for sure!
