Breakfast at Be Our Guest

I have a question and maybe I can get suggestions, we have early morning breakfast reservations at Be Our Guest, before the park opens, so that means the buses are running yet, what's the best way to get to Magic Kingdom, it will 4 adults and a 16 month old. I hate to try and change the reservations on chances of losing the reservation all together.

Buses run an hour and a half prior to park opening. If you reservation is at 8 am, be at your bus stop around 7:15 and you'll be fine. Guests with pre-park opening breakfast reservations aren't let into MK until 7:45 am anyway.

Regardless of what CMs will tell you, buses will start running around 6:30 AM. They know that guests have early morning breakfast reservations to get to (I think Chef Mickey starts seating at 7AM), and so the buses are running. They may not be as frequent as a normal bus, but they do run. Just allow for an extra 10-15 minutes in case you miss the first bus.

Great that helps so much, we were panicking.

So helpful, we will be out there early not to miss any bus, thanks.

Just be forewarned. Be Our Guest for breakfast is not all that great. Food is below average for Disney breakfasts only place with worse food is probably the Cinderella Castle for breakfast... In both of those you are paying for the atmosphere although at least in the castle you also get a photo.

On the upside if you go there early you will likely get to ride the minetrain without having to wait in a large line or using a fastpass, that was the best part of our breakfast at BOG, food was very disappointing though we had heard very good things about it.

I think the Breakfast at BOG is crazy expensive and if we were not on the dining plan, I'm not sure we would have gone there. $24.00 for adults and $14.00 for kids. I've come to accept most breakfast food at Disney isn't great, but these are items that I don't think are available anywhere else in the resort.

Honestly, we didn't find the food all that bad. We each ordered something different to sample as many items as possible. The Eggs Florentine were better than I expected. We liked the Feast a La Gaston, the Open Face Bacon and Egg Sandwich and the Croissant Doughnut. For kids they have Crepes, French Toast and Scrambled Eggs.

We sat right in front of the Rose in the Glass Case by the Fireplace. It was a nice setting. I just had to keep moving a bit when people wanted to take a picture of it. Hopefully, you will enjoy the food and the early access.

You are being kind... The food sucks... I'm glad I did it but man it was cold, flavorless and downright bad....

I had breakfast there this past February and I thought the food was fine. Mine came out warm and without any problems. Maybe it's just the luck of the draw? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about food temperature in particular. In either case, I would be willing to go back (though maybe on the dining plan... the new $24 price tag per person is a bit steep) . You can't beat the atmosphere, and things are a little quieter around breakfast time. We had an 8:00 reservation and they actually didn't let us into the park until 7:55 (they were doing maintenance on Main Street and needed to get equipment out of the way). I think we made it to BOG closer to 9:05, and we were still fine, so I wouldn't worry too much about time as long as you try your best to make it there and aren't hours late or something crazy.

If you really want to save time, I suggest ordering ahead on the app or website before arriving for your reservation. When you order ahead, you get to skip the line of people waiting for the ordering kiosks and go straight to the cashier and onto picking your seat. It really speeds things up.

I tempered my comment on the food because the last time I mentioned how in my unfettered opinion it was god awful several posters nearly crucified me. But if a candid critique is to be given I would simply say that you could get a better breakfast from a truck stop vending machine several years after the truck stop had closed. It was cold, it was flavorless, it was tough because I remember my daughter had to use a knife to cut through a pastry when one would have expected to be able to do that with the edge of a fork.... And some of it was dry especially the little muffing like object that I think was supposed to be a bran muffin....

In short I really agree, the food sucked.... but it still doesn't suck as much as the breakfast at the castle in large part because the castle costs more and tastes just as bad.

This falls under some people like Olive Garden... There is a segment of the country that likes terrible food and this is one of those places...

Couldn't it possibly be that you had lousy food while someone else had great food? Just because your experience was bad doesn't mean everyone's was, or that they're lesser people because they liked what they got.

No, the food sucks. I can't remember having a breakfast that bad. They don't know how to cook food.. And no it doesn't make you a lesser person...

I might think that was a possibility... But the last time we were at Disney we hit BOG 2 times once for breakfast and once for lunch.... At neither meal was the food good. If I had had an incredible dinner then I might have thought maybe the breakfast was a bad one off... But the dinner was very bad, and like breakfast everyone had something different so we could try the various things... Not a single entre was good... Not one... The place is not good for food. You are only paying for the photo op with the Beast at dinner and for breakfast you are paying to get a front of the line for mine train if you plan your breakfast early enough. The atmosphere is nice but hardly worth the price, throw in the bad food and you will feel like you were bent over when you leave. Now some people may like this place.... everyone has their own opinion. But when you have someone tell you that it is good I would also ask them what other restaurants they feel are good so you have an idea of what their expectations are. I wasn't expect any Michelin star food there because it was an amusement park, but even by the other standards of Disney food it failed. While Crystal palace has decline a bit over the past few years I would still rank it 10 times as good as BOG.

I've never been for breakfast but went for dinner last fall and thought it was probably the best in-park dining I've experienced in a long time. I obviously prefer the dining selections at the deluxe resorts but BOG dinner was far better than anything else I've eaten in the parks. The atmosphere was an added bonus :)

Well, that's your experience, and I would not dream of saying that you're wrong. It's also been my experience at breakfast - both times I had breakfast there, the food was pretty underwhelming. But it was worth it to do the SDMT 3 times in a row before the crowds moved in.

I also had a lunch and a dinner there, and both were excellent. I don't feel the need to provide my bonafides for how cultured my palate is. In my opinion, the pulled pork at lunch was very tasty, prepared well, and piping hot. And at dinner I had a steak that was cooked perfectly, and some wine that was also most tasty.

So in my experience, while I wouldn't recommend breakfast there for the quality of the food, I had a fine lunch and dinner, and plan on going back for both in the near future.

I guess I'm arguing against those who had a bad experience or two and state with conviction that it's a bad restaurant. Now, a really good restaurant should be providing good food all the time, and BOG doesn't live up to that. But my experience was pretty good, at least at lunch and dinner. Doesn't make me any more right than you - it's just my opinion.
