I guess this would be the place for this thread, but if its not i apologize. I would like to know what they announce when you break down on a disney attreaction. I always hear the CMs announcing things over the PA. Last time i think i heard something about phase two. I dont know but if anybody knows what is ssaid and what it means (and is allowed to post it) please do! thanks!

I don't know specifically what is said in most attractions, but on attractions where Cast Members have to go out into the track area, they "tag out" at the main control panel. (which is a fairly common practice in industrial settings, where a worker can lock a panel or switch in the off position so that it cannot be activated while they're working on it)

Before the attraction can start up again, all CMs must return to the panel and remove their tags before they can restart.

Did you hear 102 mentioned? This is the code for an attraction working normally, 101 is an attraction down. For example, in Space Mountain just before the lights go out the PA will warn CMs of this, and ask them to resume their 102 positions.

This is mentioned on Test Track during restart... Heard it many, many times. Quite audible inside the CM resturant as it's right behind the attraction.

RRA Explanation

RRA stands for "Ride Reset Assist"

With many older attraction control systems when and attraction is powered down it can only be powered up with all of its parts in their "home" position. For instance at the Universe of Energy the ride computer can only start up the ride if all of the 12 vehicles are properly parked on the two turntables in the two cheaters. This is because the ride systems has to be sure it starts from a clean state where it can be certain it knows where all of its elements are located.

RRA allows the RCS (Ride Control System) and VCS (Vertical Control System) to start up using the last known locations of all of the ride system elements. This allows the operators to skip a lot of the normal power up procedures which can take up to 15 minutes to accomplish, and instead power the ride back up in only two minutes or so.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Oh the joys of RRA.

The two systems you're looking for are MCS and RCS (in that order). Now that all of that's out there, I'm sure somebody will enjoy RRA, MCS, and RCS. I'll throw in some more acronyms-- VVC and AGV, just for good measure.
