The GF and I spent a long wet weekend on the Welsh Coast. When it looked like there was a break in the weather, we headed to the ruins of St Dogmeal’s Abbey – populated between the 12th and 16th Centuries, but now largely ruinous.
The weather did not hold – great weather for the ducks in the pond opposite the site.

However the weather did not stop Bramble heading in
Some folk’s homes overlook the site
There is a new church adjacent to the ruins – it’s been there only 300 years!
All that’s left of a spiral staircase that led to who knows where
Bramble knows where they lead
Lots of rooms, but a bit draughty these days
Interesting original floor features
