I watched the Yankees playing in Japan as well, Mad.
I have to admit, though, that I was a little disappointed to hear that all of the Yankee games are broadcast in Japan...and we here in NY had to fight with Cablevision to get the Yes Network so we could see our own team
*sigh*
I miss the old days when WPIX~11 used to show all of the games and would usher in the new season with the annual showing of Pride of the Yankees.

Being a Yankee hater, even I miss that. I also miss The Scooter calling pop flies to the infield as Homeruns..."Holy Cow, White. That's long gone...oh wait a minute, the secondbaseman caught it!"

We waited 3 months into the season the year CableVision decided not to show the games & got a dish. We just signed up for the baseball package. Can't wait!!
The Yankees belong on Pix and man do I miss the Scooter, but at least I've got Bobby. He and Thurman were my guys when I was younger.

woooooo hoooooo i cant wait for the season to start again ! im a huge yankees fan and was just watching them play in japan as well, i am really looking forward to these game finally counting for something in just about a day or two !

We used to get WPIX all the way down here in Gaww-ja. I guess they were a superstation for a while, like WGN out of Chicago, but I haven't seen that station in years.
I remember seeing Yankee games on there, as well as lots of "Full House" reruns, heh.

I can see this a little more clearly only in that Tampa has no shot to compete with New York.
