Boulder Ridge Refurb?

I'd expect quite a few months. I think PVB refresh was done in 3 or 4 months. VGF seems to be on that level too. Full refurbs take longer though.
When they did SSR they could just take a whole building out of rotation and do it. With BRV I would assume they won't shut the whole thing down and do it room by room.

Anyone heard any updates? I have searched around and can't find a thing.
No.

The bad news for BRV owners is that they just announced that the Boardwalk is getting redone. If they follow the same pattern as recently, Poly, GF, then they may well do BWV at the same time as BWI.

Meaning that BRV could be pushed out even further.

December 2022 and January 2023 are almost entirely booked when you look for availability. Like... suspiciously "almost entirely."

Man, that is not very fair at all, and yes somehow they will get Poly's new building up ASAP.

Boardwalk, Boulder Ridge, and the Poly have nothing to do with one another.

The problem with DVC refurbs is that it's very difficult to delay them a little bit. Pretend you wanted to do a refurb in January 2021 but your materials weren't going to be available until May 2021. At that point, it's too late, because DVC members have been booking up May 2021 rooms for the last 11 months. Essentially what happens is that any delay pretty much becomes an 11 month setback, because they can't take all of that inventory offline once it's already been booked up.

You maybe right. Just seems it keeps getting bumped down the line...

How could they not have anything to do with each other?

BRV should have had a refurb in 2020, was it? Poly wasn’t due until the following year. Yet when the non-DVC Poly rooms were being done, they decided to do the DVC room refurb at the same time - and add the queen size Murphy wall bed even though it was only a soft goods refurb.

And they did have to move some people who were booked at the Poly.

So BRV was definitely bumped by the Poly refurb. And if they decide to do the BWV rooms at the same time as the non-DVC rooms, that will also impact when BRV gets done.

That is not correct.
The Poly refurb was brought forward a year. And they moved some people with reservations to do so.

BRV was originally due to be done during 2020. We’re now in 2022 with no announcement yet.

If it wasn’t delayed due to the unplanned Poly refurb , what else was behind the delay?

If you know for sure the delay want caused by the Poly refurb then presumably you know the actual reason. 🙅‍♀️
