Bottled water...do you have a preference?

Last year, everyone in my central Florida city got a letter about our drinking water. We had failed the water test or whatever. Too much e-coli.

So, I decided to stop drinking our poopie water. It may have improved, but I have enough problems and don't need to add any contaminated water issues to the list. :)

I like the Fiji water best. It has a cute label, too. But Zephryhills comes in a close second...and they have those sports caps. Dasani...just don't like it much. Has a hard taste to it, IMO. Like chemical or something.

What bottled water do you like? Or does it make any difference to you at all?

What you're tasting is the minerals in the water. I guess Dasani has different chemicals. I think it has a weird taste, too, but I'll drink it.

We get Nestle water. I've heard Fiji is really good, but I've never had it.

Dasani and Aquafina are mostly your local tap water. It's filtered but that's about it. It's the tap water the local Coke or Pepsi bottler uses to make the sodas but without the carbonation or syrup.

It's all just water to me. If I can handle the taste of drinking "hose water" from my garden hose, I can handle the taste of any of the bottled stuff. Yes the water down there has a "Florida" taste, but it isn't so bad.

I didn't know that. Interesting. :)

Other people have continued to drink it and not keeled over...but flunking water tests because there is too much sewage in it is bad enough for me.

Yes...Thank you!!! I have been saying for a while that Dasani has a weird taste and leaves an aftertaste but someone keeps telling me it's in my head! They say H2O is H2O. HA HA I knew I couldn't be the only one! LOL
H2O is H2O, but what you find in bottles is rarely just H2O. Dasani adds minerals. It says so right on the bottle.

At WDW I normally have Dansani, I've never noticed a weird taste though. While at Uni I normally drink Zephryhills, plus the resort used to give you a free bottle of Fiji by your bed each day! All tastes like water to me but I prefer the look of the Fiji bottle!

I had my first Fiji water at PBH, lol. I really like the non-taste of that stuff, but it is more expensive.

I think Uni is selling Nestlé water in the parks, now.

I was buying quite a bit of Zephyrhills, but their new sports caps are a pain to open. So I'm looking for new ideas. :)

I am a smart water girl 100%! I'm from MA, so Poland Springs is also acceptable. Dasani DEFINITELY has a weird, sort of sliminess, to it, as does the generic water at my local grocery chain. I'm a picky water drinker.. I appreciate Disney carrying smart water, but it's pricey. I plan to ship some (and other things since I'm staying at AKV) down next month when I visit to save a little $$

Used to be an all-Dasani girl but not so much anymore. We've been buying Nestlé mostly because its cheaper. Hubby loves it, says Dasani tastes like poo in comparison. Whatever. Love Smart Water & buy it when on sale. I've been trying to push using our water Bobbles at home since we moved and I got them out of storage. My oldest kiddo fell down some steps and hurt his...uh....inside the backside...((yikes!)).... and has been drinking tons of water along with his total diet change. Seriously, the boy was drinking 4 bottles of water at a time all thru the day. Pushing his water Bobbles (filter bottles) has really helped save some $$. Aquafina is feckin' disgusting. I'll go thirsty before I drink that awful stuff.

One Little Spark...
Dasani is simply the filtered water Coke bottlers use to make the soda.

I'm not much of a "water expert", it's all H2O to me...however, having heard people rave about Fiji water, I had to give it a try.

Now, I'm hooked. Though, I don't buy it often, only when I'm not at home. At home I use a Brita sink mount filter and fill small Fiji water bottles with it to take to work / drink.

Cold.

Nobody sells H2O. It's all "water" (with minerals, etc.). If it were truly pure (H2O) then it wouldn't taste like anything. They might as well label it all Evian. ;)
