No kidding! It's been miserable lately. I barely even left the house last week because of the heat! See why I wanna move? I saw an article in the Sun Sentinel the other day predicting our summer here. All I can say is...follow my lead, Dan!!! Get outta dodge!!
Hey...I'm still waiting on you to bring me a snack, but I'm over the red, white & blue popsicle craving. Never got it, but I'm on to something new anyway. Tonight, I want gummy sharks!

According to the weather map..its been a good 5-10 degrees WARMER in orlando all week...ouch...i love living near the coast..hehe
...hmm...Dawn..if i had the cashola..id bring you a box of snacks..but sadly insurance is due in like..3 days..and they get kinda ed when i dont pay it..hehe
I am so lucky with my insurance. I'll pay for three months, then just stop paying. The next year, they call up saying "you're about to expire, care to renew?" I pay them for another 3 months & the same thing happens again. Go figure!
Gosh, you left me to kill the colossal palmetto & now you won't bring me gummy bears? I'm so heartbroken & disappointed. I suppose I'll still have to catch the upcoming show though, just for the sake of locating some local talent. Keep me posted, I've been really dim lately.

Ah..i use Geico...they tend to notice when i dont send a check..hehe...

I haven't listened to 88.5 in ages! I hope I can actually get it here. I've had trouble with it in the south end of the county before. I'll keep it in mind!! Very cool.
I'd love to get back into the scene. My friend Derek is trying to get me to go see his band too but they never play anywhere convenient...SOUTH Miami or Orlando, every time. I miss it so desperately!

Lauderdale was even better when Summers on the Beach was still around! It is still way better than anything in Miami though!
Yeah, the whole Vandal thing was way different than what you do. Pretty heavy rock, not quite thrash, but heavy. EXCELLENT vocals though! I'm getting all nostaligic again!

Its so strange..there are TONS of great bands down here, but they all lack ambition..they think it as being a "chore" to do a show..*sigh*

That is exactly what the biggest difference is!! You are SO right! I remember before, the bands just really loved it & even those that KNEW they didn't have a chance still did it because they just loved it! That's what made it fun & that's what got them a loyal following!

I was always much more interested in an autograh, picture, conversation, etc. when I met bands. I would hate to be seen in the same light as some of the bimbos I ran into backstage. Sure, I was madly in love with anything with long hair & an instrument, but I am definitely way too bright to be a groupie. :lol: I just didn't get that whole life choice, myself....baffling.
