hey everyone. i am planning to apply for spring of 09. i had a question if there any books out there besides Mousecatraz that i can read about CP's. if there is please give me the title and if possible a place where i can buy it. Thank you so much for your help.

That is the only one I heard of. I didn't read it because I heard that it was very negative. I googled Disney College Program and found some blogs of participants that i read.
I don't believe that I needed to read any book to have a great time on my program. The main thing I think is that you have to go with an open mind and expect to work. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Mousecratz is the only book I'm aware of, but I feel that the person who wrote it was pretty jaded, and frankly designed the book as a faux "expose". If you read this book, take it with many grains of salt. The average experience isn't like that.

Before going into the CP myself, I just basically asked a lot of the people here. You will get a few different opinions and all, but there are plenty of ex-CPs here who can answer just about any question (myself included). A lot of people view the CP negatively since they buy into the whole "Evil Empire" thing about Disney. No doubt that Disney gets cheap labor out of it and yeah, it could be viewed that they exploit that to a bit, but I can also see their take on it as well. It is a great way to get started at Disney or get it on your resume. If anyone has worked anywhere in entertainment, they can tell you that a lot of times you are lucky to even GET paid for an internship. Problem is, a lot of people who do the CP have never worked in entertainment (at least in a serious capacity) before. I came from an entertainment background before coming here (7 years of pyro with various production experience as well) and have had to endure a LOT worse than the CP.
