Booking through Expedia

Just a quick question. If you book a package through expedia, are you able to include the dining plan as well?

No sorry you cant add the dining plan on when booking through expedia, i wondered that to and when i contacted them it was not an option.

If you are a AAA member, you can save money by booking your package through them, or call Disney directly and mention your AAA membership. I am still hesitant to book anything through Expedia/Orbitz/Travelocity after a major screw a few years back. I heart the internet and everything, but I just like having a name and person I can call if something goes wrong on my vacation.....

Can't do it from those sites. We went directly to Disney.com and made the resort/rental car/tickets ressies there. Then booked our flights on Air Tran and also sea world/universal tix for a couple of days offsite through Travelocity. We had no problems and got the lowest prices on the airfares I could find on any site from Travelocity.

I'd be really careful booking through Expedia. My friend had major problems when trying to book a flight. This was a few years ago andI don't know if they have changed policies or whatnot. I personally would be nervous booking something as important as a WDW vacation.

The airfares on the Disney website are often the lowest available. This is because Disney will often buy group space on flights and then list it only through their reservation system. Any flight through the website which only requires a deposit and not a "payment in full/non-refundable" is Disney bulk discounted air.

Also if I am remembering correctly another poster had a problem as they had booked their trip through Expedia and had all kinds of hassles trying to add on the DME service!!!! I believe they cancelled the entire trip and rebooked through Disney!!!! Belle

Just some FYI stuff, the reason the DDP cannot be booked through Expedia is because expedia technically offers Room Only Reservations, not Package reservations. Even though they may package items in the reservation together, it's not an actual WDTC package, which is the only way to book the DDP.
