Finally got around to booking our little 3 night stay at the Royal Pacific. Got it under the AP rates, so just gotta show up and get our APs before we check in. Any of you have thoughts on the double queen rooms there? From what I've seen online they're pretty nice, although we're a bit perplexed about the lack of free fridge and microwave.

Stayed there for 3 nights on a buiness trip, same type room. It's nice, we did not use the pool so I can't speak to that. It's about a 5-6 minute walk to Citywalk I think. First place you hit at Citywalk as you leave the path is Margaritaville :)

Of course IOA is right there too.

Can't really remember much of the walk back to the resort but I guess I made it :)

You will enjoy the resort, have a great trip. Ride Ripsaw Falls for me :)

just remember you have to get your APs at Guest services in the parks :( Such a pain, but SO worth the discount. Get there nice and early so you aren't waiting forever!

How can you check out the AP rates without havent already an AP? I can't find it on the official site.
Thanks

Ok, our plan as of right now is to land at 2:25 pm, which means we should be out of the airport by 3:30 after getting the rental car, hopefully. From there we planned on hitting Cocoa Beach for about 2 hours and then heading to Universal. That should give us plenty of time to get the AP's and then hit the hotel, right? Also, if I'm not officially checked in, can we park at the resort and then walk over to get the APs?

You can. And given the time you're arriving, Guest Services outside the park won't be the nightmare that it is in the morning and early afternoon.

I think you can have your AP's mailed to you if it's well in advance of your trip, too.

Yeah, but we have to get them there to show them on check-in plus to give us 365 days to use again next August/September.
