Booked at CSR/switch?

I think you all are worried about something you will not notice. Read THIS review just posted. Josh tells it like it is. He also gives you more to consider about moving. I have stayed at CSR (love it!) and the area is away from most guest rooms.

"If you’re in the Casitas section, the construction shouldn’t be bothersome at all. In Ranchos, you can walk through Casitas towards the main building and also run into virtually no construction. Staying in Cabanas 9A, we did hear the construction as we walked to and from the bus or could hear it in the distance when walking to the pool. It did detract slightly from what would have otherwise been a more peaceful couple of minutes, but it was far from a deal breaker."

Got an email this morning regarding our May reservation at CBR regarding construction. It mentions that some areas will be under construction, but also that Old Port Royale Food Courts, Shutters, Banana Cabana Pool Bar and Calypso Trading post will be closed for refurbishment.

Options will be available for all three meals. Centretown will serve breakfast and dinner, and Centretown will serve breakfast and dinner and a selection of grab-and-go meals will be available for purchase in three island markets located in Aruba, Jamaica and Martinique regions.

Now I'm thorn. I want the resort but I want an enjoyable trip and not stress about noise, available services or food options.
And I don't really spend 2-3K more either.

From what I've read, the impact at CSR will be kept at a minimum. But CBR will be a mess. So you may want to avoid CBR, athough a $25/day gift card does sound enticing.

We have decided to stay put. At the worst we will switch resorts at check in if it is awful. But I don't think it will be.
