Are there any book to big screen adaptations that failed to impress? This doesn't need to be limited to Disney. Any that you loved? Any that you wish they would get a move on make??
Personally, I wasn't impressed by the Golden Compass at all!! I loved the book but I thought the acting was iffy, there wasn't enough emphasis on the daemons...and the whole film just seemed to be missing something!!
And don't even get me started on Queen of the Damned, based on the book by Anne Rice. What on earth did they do to that? I quite honestly don't have a good thing to say about that film, which is a real shame because that teemed with the Vampire Lestat is my favourite read ever!!
I'm really looking forward to the adaptation of Marley and Me by John Grogan later this year should be a heartbreaker!
