Bonnet Springs?

Ok, the last time i was down at WDW was in June of 2002. I recall driving past a sign saying " Bonnet Springs Resort" coming soon or something like that. I believe it was near the Swan & Dolphin. ( i could be wrong with the location) Does anyone know what im talking about? Did the name change to Saratoga Springs?

You're thinking of Bonnet Creek Resort. From what I read on these boards, the story was that the piece of land that it will be built on was owned by a family that refused to sell to Disney. As a result, Disney didn't provide any infrastructure access to that land. It is bordered on 3 sides by Disney property, so you can imagine how annoying that would have been. Then, I think a lawsuit was filed regarding this problem, and as a result, forced disney to provide access. Now they're developing the resort on that piece of property, one of the primary owners being Fairfield properties. You can see signs on disney property for the resort on Disney property, but they are orange instead of purple. It is located east of the CBR.
