So here we are, almost 90 days out exactly from the grand opening of New Fantasyland and at least half of the unique merch at Bonjour Village Gifts has already been replaced with the generic parks merch you can find anywhere. Gone are the beast plushes, most of the unique Belle shirts, some of the Gaston shirts, and half of the dinnerware. Instead we have foam crowns, more Belle dolls, and generic princess merchandise...knew it wouldn't be long.

I wondering if it's a matter of keeping things in stock rather than replacing it with generic stuff. Perhaps they mis-judged the demand for some of the new items and they've decided to fill the shelves with *something* when they run out rather than having bunches of empty shelves.
(I don't know either way, I'm just tossing out an alternate possibility)

Actually during previews for new fantasyland they limited the merchandise at that store so that you could only buy 2 items of the plates and cups etc so I think you might be right.

I'm guessing, like the posters above,that this is a supply issue. I was there yesterday and all the dinnerware was available, at least four different Gaston shirts, belle shirts, etc. were all there. Everything in the shop made thematic sense.

Really? When I went over Spring Break I bought my stunning minotaur candle-holder, and they still have the dinnerware and wineglasses, custom mugs and custom New Fantasyland shirts. Wasn't disappointed at all. Don't think I saw the Gaston's Tavern stein but I might have not looked long enough. It's not a large store to begin with. Stunning art for sale too. Refreshing to see a new Beauty and the Beast interpretation on canvas to admire every visit.

I just went yesterday and they had a ton of new merchandise out, or maybe I just had not seen it since I have been avoiding New Fantasyland because of the busy season. But they had a really cute new Gaston Tavern shirt and actual cups that say Gaston Tavern or The Beast. They had a Madame Wardrobe figurine which I have not seen before, it was so cute. Looks like they have are back in stock with all their stuff too.
