Boma?

Bomas is pretty good, but like a few places I thought the variety of offerings had changed for the worse. Still love the soups, and the salads are a little different.

Not a fan of deserts so was not overly excited by the zebra domes. I definitely prefer to eat a little later, as having raised my bunch to behave when eating out, I get more than a little peeved when families let their brood run wild.

I completely agree.. we'll have our 4 year old with us and he is sort of a picky eater.. but I'm sure there's something he would like, even if it's some kind of noodles or sliced meat.. it's funny this will be my fourth trip to DW and I never even thought to go try restaurats at other resorts until now..
So far my plans are.. Rainforest one night, T-Rex one night (for the little one of course) Boma, and HoB. I'm also trying to figure out where the best places would be to grab lunch in the parks, we'll be doing Animal Kingdom, MK, and Hollywood Studios.. I think in MK I'd like to get a burger at Pecos Bills, but the other two parks I'm totally in the dark

Another nice thing about Boma's (at least a couple of years ago when we went) if there was something new you really liked you could get a form to request the recipe and they would send it to you.

We ate at Boma for the first time last year and LOVED it! My kids were weary about the food at first but it turns out it was their favorite restaurant. Highly recommend it! :sohappy:

I am going to have to step in and be the horrible "I hated it" voice. I went in expecting delicious, flavorful food. Great new tastes and just exceptional everything... did not get it. The food tasted so bland. The service was "eh." The only cool part was that we saw Joe Rhode.

You seem to be in the minority, but I certainly can understand that Boma wouldn't be to everyone's taste. Service-wise, I've been quite lucky, I've always had very attentive service. I even have had servers who remembered me from previous visits! :sohappy: Coming From Canada means I don't visit all that often.

Hated Boma

Was beginning to think I was the only one that disliked Boma. I went in expecting excellent food that was going to blow me away based on the reviews. Most of the food was really sweet to me, especially the salmon. The roast beef was pretty fatty too. The restaurant had a wide variety of deserts, but none blew me away. The zebra domes looked nice, but I also thought they were very rich. I'll probably try it again sometime in the future, as it might have just been the night, but I won't be trying it again in August. On the upside, Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful and the atmosphere is really nice. Hope to stay there sometime soon. Enjoy your trip. You might want to also check out the Biergarten in Epcot. Loved that.

LOL! My family and I always feel alone on that. Noe of us liked it very much. I did like the desserts though, but I am a dessert person. :slurp:
