Less than three weeks till we leave and I'm really starting to get excited! I'm trying to figure out all our dining plans and am seriously considering Boma. I was wondering if anyone could comment on quality or taste. I have heard it is very good and was just wondering what everyone thought.

Thanks

Great!

We loved Boma! We ate there every morning for breakfast! It's better for breakfast than for dinner.

If you want to try dinner at Animal Kingdom Lodge, try it at Jiko.

We didnt eat at Boma's.. but we went to Jiko's and had an amazing time, I highly recommend it. I also recommend Wolfgang's sit-down restaruant in DTD, but I don't recommend Bongo's... it just wasn't very good at all :hurl:

Boma's for breakfast is absolutely amazing!!!! I have eaten there a few times and enjoyed it every single time. As far as dinner, I was EXTREMELY Disappointed!!!! I thought it was pretty awful!! the food there is WAY too exotic for my smple little palatte I think. I wasnt even particularly crazy about the zebra domes which a lot of people on here had said was great. The majority of my meal that night was Prime rib which was fine and macaroni & Cheese from the kiddie side of the buffet. I would definitely go there again for breakfast but for dinner, no. I had a great time at O'hana's in the Polynesian for an all you can eat served to your table type of meal. It was pretty awesoem with just a hint of exotic. Three foot long skewers of Pork loin, turkey breast, sirloin steak and tiger shrimp are the main course served with a variety of sides and dipping sauces!! A great place for a family meal!!! Hope this helps! Belle

I'd have to agree with the others here. Boma for breakfast is absolutly the best! We eat breakfast at every chance we get.

However, we finnally had dinner for the first time on our last trip and I was, in a word, dissapointed.

The food was very good and all, but nothing so spectacular that the wife and I would do again soon. The selection of food was not as much as they do for breakfast, and like Belle said, some of the food was way to exotic, asnd others were run of the mill. No real in between choices.

I did like the Zebra Domes tho. :slurp:

If you're looking for an African feel for dinner I would highly suggest Jiko over Boma. It will cost more, but Jiko is well worth it, and it will be an extra nice thing to do. Boma will be good, but not "special" like Jiko is.

You could also try the Northern African tastes of Morocco at Epcot. That's good too.

I am with you Akira, I did the Moroccan restaurant and I find that they had a lovely selection for the dinner menu. Some very basic stuff and some more exotic for the adventurous souls. I had the lemon chicken which was excellent along with a seciality drink that I cant remember the name of but it was delicious, light and refreshing. It was a green color and had Midori in it if that is any help at all. My friend Richie had the lamb and said it was excellent. Belle

I'm a bit more "un-adventurous" when I did Morocco, so I had the kebobs, but they were very very good. The other three people that I ate with did choose more "adventurous" meals, and they all loved them.

Morocco would not be my first choice for a place to eat in Epcot, but I would deffinaly not have a problem eating there. Plus I got to watch a scantaly dressed woman dance in front of me without my wife slapping me up side my head for "looking".

I'll throw my vote along for BOMA at BREAKFAST! :slurp:

It was VERY good. Be sure to have their Boma Juice with your breakfast! Great mixture of different flavors!

If you need to sample a zebra dome, head over to the snack bar (MARA) where they have them packaged in the take-out cooler!

I thought Alfredo's was tasty, though overpriced and poorly serviced, so I'll hold my comments and let you decide.

I have to add that I'd be in line right behind WANNABEBELLE for OHANA'S on ANY DAY!!! MMMMMmmmmmmmm!!!! One of our favorite places in WDW!!! :slurp:

HAVE FUN!

:sohappy:

We never had breakfast at Boma, so I can't comment on that. We ate there twice for dinner, and loved it. We chose that over Jiko because of more selections that our kids would enjoy. There is a lot of curry used in many of the "exotic" dishes, and some of the spices have a flavor you may have never tasted before. If you've ever eaten Moroccan style cuisine, kick up the exotic flavors about two notches. This does not apply to all the dishes, just some. If you want to compare the menus (and prices), look here: http://allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm#res

Hope this helps. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a magical dining adventure!:slurp:

Boma is one of my husband's favorite restaurants for supper. I like it pretty well, but am not a big meat eater, so I can take it or leave it. The food has a smoky taste, so if you like smoked meat, you'll love it.

Our first trip to Boma's, they sent the chef out to our table. He walked down the buffet line with us and told us what everything was and what it was made of. They'll do that for you if you ask - and they were really busy that night, so I know they will do it for you!

If you go ther, you have to try a "beverage". They are outstanding! I can't remember the one my husband had, but it was a melon based drink, and it was great. My martini was superdooper too!

Heading for the great escape.
I love Bomas, the soups are amazing. The kids however have mixed opinion. They are usually pretty adventurous but tend to stick to the simpler dishes. they also pay too much atention to the desserts rather than the proper grub.

The biggest problem with Bomas is that even with PS ive had to wait everytime.
