The coolest thing ever! :D  :D

But in all seriousness, it was in the old GM Transcenter - a Robot arm and a bird next to it. The robot performs tricks like "sit down" and "roll over"...and even conducts a symphony orchestra at the end of the loop...with the screen behind it. There are pictures at Burns works. You may be familiar with his famous "applause" sign...

A blast from the past! The robot - as you may remember - was right off the assembly line. As I recall, sometime during the 'symphony' segment, a video in the background showed welding and painting being done by a 'chorus' of robots... in time with the 1812 Overature, or something similar.

Do you perhaps remember 'Expo Robotics', (1985-1989 or so) which was at the South end of Communicore West (now home of Ice Station Cool)? Similar robots spun tops in one display, or rendered a pen and ink sketch of guests in another. Long line for that second display.
