A blast from the past! The robot - as you may remember - was right off the assembly line. As I recall, sometime during the 'symphony' segment, a video in the background showed welding and painting being done by a 'chorus' of robots... in time with the 1812 Overature, or something similar.
Do you perhaps remember 'Expo Robotics', (1985-1989 or so) which was at the South end of Communicore West (now home of Ice Station Cool)? Similar robots spun tops in one display, or rendered a pen and ink sketch of guests in another. Long line for that second display.
