BOG Breakfast. Sad!

Well, it's finally happened. For the first time in (for)ever, I feel like I've been honest-to-goodness ripped of by The Walt Disney Company. Those of you who have argued or agreed with me in the past know that I've been called a pixie-duster, a TDO shill, and countless other things. I've defended cabanas, hard ticketed events, private tours, upcharges, price increases, the Disney Dining Plan, and other things generally viewed as unpopular and/or overly expensive.

Then, this past week, I had breakfast at Be Our Guest. $24 for a meal called "Feast a la Gaston" and I received a piddly plate of cold eggs, cold potatoes with absolutely no seasoning, and three microwave greasy sausages delivered by a surly waitress in a completely disorganized dining room. In all my trips to Walt Disney World, I've never reached such a level of disappointment and borderline anger at the product and service I received. The fact that this meal cost as much as Boma's excellent breakfast just added to my frustration. I've never felt this way about Disney, and I don't like it.

Welcome to the club @CaptainAmerica and join those of us who got there before you. No it's absolutely NOT a good feeling when that happens. When something you've enjoyed greatly through the years turns sour due to no fault of your own but rather a greedy management team bent on self enrichment is undermining years of magic created by a once great company.

We'll here's your first positive review! We ate breakfast there ~2 years ago (I think, the price point was $20 instead of $24 at the time) and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. We had the open-faced sandwich and the eggs florentine (which appears to no longer be on the menu?).
I've eaten breakfast there probably 8 times, always got the Feast a La Gaston and ALWAYS enjoyed it. We order in advance and the food has arrived hot and tasty every single time. My only regret is that right now (July '21), BOG isn't serving breakfast at all and am hoping when it does reopen, it'll be the same menu. I'll be there.

Was never a fan of the "open picnic table" seating where you had to find somewhere to sit. If there were two open tables they were littered with the trash from the previous customers. The two times we went for breakfast we had to walk around for 15 minutes looking for an open table. When the food came, it was a 'breakfast appetizer.' You definitely better have a lunch scheduled for early afternoon.

FWIW, best not to bump a 4-year-old thread when nothing new has happened.

Didn't see the date then, don't see it now. Just joined this AM...Forgive my trespasses as I will forgive yours.
LOL, a bump like that is something every one of us does now and then. My goal was to jump in with a gentle reminder before someone else did with a less gentle one. ;)

Regardless, welcome aboard!
