And the likelihood of ambitious WDW projects coming to reality just plummeted.
I hope everybody is going to be satisfied with table scraps for the next three years!
EDIT: Before anyone puts words in my mouth, I didn't say "@MFG everything is cancelled!"
But this is sad news to those who were hoping for more aggressive investment into Orlando than what is currently being discussed.

So much for his alleged political ambitions. Maybe he already knows what the public reaction will be to MyMagic+ and realized his political aspirations are doomed!

I don't think this is a bad thing, this keeps the pressure on Iger to deliver on everything he has already set in motion. But I see @pheneix 's point that he may not want to add any additional deliverables to his agenda. He is betting his legacy on Shanghai, Ep VII and Avengers 2.
I still think it is very cool that Disney has planned succession timelines. But hopefully they are watching Time-Warner closely right now.

I'm more curious about who was/is being groomed to be his replacement and how this affects them. Could Disney be on the verge of a big shakeup throughout the Burbank offices over the next couple of years?
Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see Iger depart well ahead of the new date.

Ever since Iger got a better Botox and face man (Willow's recommendation?), I kinda like the guy. He looks more approachable now, with flawless skin and open eyes and a non-furrowed brow. So natural looking at 62 years old. Let him stay!

Simply awful news... Unless you live in China and go to those parks. WDW continues to flounder and Iger has done nothing to solve its problems. $2Billion on a bunch of interactive queues and RFID bracelets. Are you kidding me?
