Boatrights

I'm staying at POFQ on an upcoming trip. Among the dinner options I'm considering after a Cirque du Soleil show is just boat from DS to POR for dinner at Boatrights before walking back to my room at POFQ. Opinions?

On our last trip to WDW we dined there and had a very nice meal. Service was excellent and food timely served. DW, DS and I ordered different items and all were very tasty. We were hesitant to reserve a meal there because the previous trip a year before when we dined there the meal wasn’t up to standard so we were happily surprised that there was a vast improvement. It is a spot that gets a lot of meh reviews but we were satisfied.

Thanks. As I have the Pixie Dust pass, I'll be unable to go to a park on a Sunday when I check in to POFQ. I figured I could take the boat over to DS, see Cirque at 4pm, hang out in DS, then return later in the evening for dinner at Boatrights at POR. It's then a short walk back to my room. No fuss, no muss.

I had the Cioppino. It was very tasty. Small portion but still good. The open concept makes it loud like every other restaurant at WDW.

Wonderful resort but Boatrights is mediocre at best. We just ate there a couple weeks ago to see if it had improved. It did not. I love Louisiana food too. I got the ‘Taste of the Bayou’ platter. Ribs - weak, sausage - awful, brisket - ok, Cajun chicken - ok. Service - bad as always. Skippable.

On a visit in 2018, I enjoyed the prime rib dinner. It was actually very good. My wife got the Jambalaya, but she did not think much of it.

Because I like POFQ. Actually, when I was formulating my plans that was before Trails End was going to have its last dinner service on 4/16, which is my check in date. I decided to have dinner there. It will be my first and last time ever eating at Trails End.

We went to Boatright's on our last trip. It was quite good. I had the jambalaya, and if I could remember what Mrs. P had I'd die a happy man. As an aside, we went to see Yehaa Bob after dinner. Great show!
