Just have fun. Explore the resort because there is a lot to see there. Your daughter is not going to remember anything about it, so it is really a trip for you and your husband. You get to walk/boat to DHS and World Showcase. You can stroll to Beaches and Cream to look at the Y&BC. ESPN restaurant is right on property. There are boardwalk performers. There are a ton of things to enjoy with the resort.

One bit of advice, walk to the Hess station for things you may want in the room. Almost $7 for a beer with tip. A 6-pack is almost that price at the Hess station.

My only Boardwalk tips are

You can hear a good bit of noise until around 11pm from the Boardwalk if you have a Boardwalk view room
Be sure to watch some of the performers on the Boardwalk.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Boardwalk!

We really enjoyed being able to walk to EPCOT from the resort, we walked over one morning for rope drop from the World Showcase, the monorailed it to the MK for the afternoon. We walked back to the resort after HS, which is a longer walk than EPCOT, but it was really relaxing as opposed to joining the crowds for the boat back to the resort. The Bakery also has wonderful options for a quick service meal. We did lunch there once and got really tasty lobster rolls!

The Boardwalk is our favorite place and we'll be there later this year. There is so much to do there and is just a short walk away from Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf, which is just on the other side of the Swan and Dolphin Hotel. If you hit it at the right time, you have a great view of the Star Wars fireworks over at Hollywood Studios while you're playing your round of golf.

Yay! The Boardwalk is an amazing hotel! We have also celebrated a birthday there. We were able to preorder a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery via phone and it was a nice add on and not terrbily expensive. What an exciting time! Enjoy your trip!

We've stayed at the BW two times. Once in a standard room and the second time (this past February) in a 1 bedroom villa. Both stays were amazing. The only thing that BW doesn't have is a quick service restaurant. Take advantage of being super close to Epcot and get breakfast in France at least once... Another tip is to look into the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin too. We stay there often and there is 12-13 different restaurants to eat at there and it being the neighbor to BW it will be a great place to eat any meal with NO wait.
